"I'm in serious shit, I feel totally lost
If I'm asking for help it's only because
Being with you has opened my eyes
Could I ever believe such a perfect surprise?"

The after party's were one of Cassiopeia's favorite things about being on the quidditch team. Even if you weren't on the team they were a blast.

James has been trying to get Cass alone ever since the game ended. Of course Cass didn't know this. Cass was talking to Sirius when James came up to them.

"Hey guys!" He exclaimed walking up to them.

"Hey James."

"Hey Prongsy!" A very tipsy Sirius said.

"Cass can I talk to you for a-"

"Oi, I actually need to show you something James back in the dorms" Sirius dragged his friend up to the dorm and if you were looking you could tell James looked defeated. But Cass was to oblivious to notice. But other people weren't as oblivious.

Cass went to go find someone else because she didn't want to be standing alone, that's when assholes come up to her. So she went to find someone to talk to.

Remus was Cassiopeia's friend before he started dating her brother, so she always had to hear all about it. But over time Remus was also like a brother to her. So before Cass could find someone to talk to, he came up to her, knowing she doesn't like to be alone at parties.

"Hey Cass! Did you like my commentator skills?" Remus asked as he walked up to her.

"Do you want my honest opinion?"

"Was it that bad?" He laughed.

"I barely heard a word. I focused in to hard."

"You know that's what James said, he told me he only heard the "Oh poop" line. " Remus and Cass could spend hours laughing then go back to conversation acting as if it never happened, so a few minutes after their laughing fit, they went back into conversation as if what Remus said wasn't even funny, "Ya know," He said as if he's wanted to tell her this for a while, "You and James are really similar."

Oh shit, what does he know.

"And I know Sirius is a giant prick about stuff like this," he went on, not seeing the worry in his friends face, "But I think you two would be cute together. Sirius can suck it up."

Cass didn't know what to say.

"Ew Remus," Was all she could think of, "He's to close to Sirius and I don't know it would weird me out to date him." That was a fat lie. But cass got used to lying. If that's what she has to do to stay with James, she would.

"Well, I guess I'll get to say I told you so on your wedding day."

"That will never happen." Cass didn't know if this was a lie or not. Would James want to be with her for that long? Would something happen to break them up? Or will they live happily ever after. Cass hoped it was the last one, but you could only get so far in hoping.

They continued their conversation, in the middle of talking about the History of Magic unit Cass was about to go into when James and Sirius came down stairs. Both of them bee lined to their significant other.

"Oh hey Moony." Sirius said resting his head on Remus's shoulder.

"Hey Remus, hey Cass can i talk-"

"Oh James, can I talk to you for a moment?" Remus asked.  And with that James was soaked away for the second time that night and only one person batted an eye.  Cass was just worried he was gonna ask James if they were dating or something.

Sirius and Cass chatted for a moment until Sirius went to go find Regulus because "He hasn't talked to his baby brother all day. "

Cass went and found Lily, she was talking with Marlene and Mary but she just blended into the conversation. Lily was chewing Marlene out for not taking study for her NEWTS seriously, Mary was just there for the show, even though she hasn't studied for them either.

After a few minutes James and Remus came back in and James casually came up to the four girls.

"Hey James!" Mary shouted very loudly. She was drinking something called witches brew, it could get you drunk in five sips apparently.

"Hey ladies." James Potter was, as you know, raised very well so he small talked with the girls for a few moments politely until saying,

"Can I steal Cass away from you guys? I wanted to talk to her about um Sirius's Christmas gift. Gotta start shopping now before everything is sold out!"

"I'll talk to you guys later." Cass said walking out of the common room with her boyfriend.

The ended up in some corridor, how come James always needed to talk to her in corridors during party's?

"What's up?" Cassiopeia asked trying to fix James's hair that was more messed up than normal.

"I just wanted to tell you how proud I am of you. Your team was phenomenal. And I just wanted to tell you that."

No one has ever gone out of their way to tell Cassiopeia that they were proud of her. She was so infatuated with James it was insane.

"Thanks love, you guys did well too."

"Thanks you. I cant wait till Thursday though."

"Ahh me too I feel like it been so long."

"Well we could make up for it a little now." James said smirking.

"Won't they miss us at the party though?"

"They can miss us for a few minutes." James said leaning in.

They heard a sharp gasp and instantly pulled away. When they broke apart they saw Marlene. The three of them made eye contact for a second then Marlene started to walk away.

"Well shit." James muttered.

The both ran after Marlene but she got to the Hufflepuff common room before them, and it's not like they could confront her in there with all those people. They just had to hope that she wouldn't tell anyone. But you could only get so far hoping.

Cass tried to stay away from James the whole night. She spent the rest of the night talking with Regulus. He could see the stress on her face. He knew something was up but if he were to ask her she's either deny it or blow up in his face.

Her and Regukus were talking when Marlene came up to them. Regulus saw the look in Marlene eye and took it as his cue to leave.

"Hey Marls." Cass said awkwardly.

"Look. I know this is none of my business and you two were obviously trying to keep this a secret so I'm not going to tell anyone. I already told James this, but I know how difficult it can be to keep this big of a secret, so if you ever need to talk i'm here. Even though we aren't that close and I am still a little sour you won the match, all your secrets are safe with me. No matter what."

Cass didn't know what to say. So she just hugged Marlene.

"Thank you."

Cass made eye contact with James.m and she knew everything would be okay. At least everything will be okay for now.
