"I want to live life and always be true
And I want to live life and be good to you
And I want to fly and never come down
And live my life and have friends around"

Cassiopeia Luna Black talked to her brothers everyday for as long as she can remember. It's always the three of them. Together. Forever. And always. They have always protected each other no matter what. So, to protect them Cass hasn't talked to them in 25 days. She hasn't talked to them since December 22, 1977. This isn't normal for them, and Cass has had a hard time adjusting to this change.

Cass woke up in her bed later than normal, it was Sunday so she could sleep in. But that's not why she did. It was hard for Cass to get out of bed in the mornings. She just wanted to spend her day in bed. But she wouldn't. She couldn't. She had to build a reputation for herself to keep her brothers safe. She is tired of spending her nights in bed, crying. Everyday Cass would see all of them. And the dirty looks they'd give her. It sucked. They all hated her and she couldn't even tell them why she is doing what she is doing.

But she was a Black after all, she already had a bad reputation to build on. She used to work on bringing that reputation down, but oh how times change. She got out of bed and went down to the Great Hall for a late breakfast, which she didn't eat but pushed around on her plate- she seemed to have no appetite, these days and of course where she went she now had a posse of Slytherins following behind her.

She learned to ignore them. But somehow that seemed to make it worse. They thought the silence meant "she's definitely seen stuff to scar her!" so that made her even more powerful to them. Everyday day when Cass sat down at the Hufflepuff table she tries her best not to look over at the Gryffindor table, knowing it'll only hurt her. And yet everyday she fails and makes herself feel worse.

Sometimes she'll catch Regulus's eye and he asks her if she's okay through looks. It's rare, but still it happens, she will catch Sirius's eye and tries to tell him, through a look that only lasts a second, that it's not what he thinks. But hardly ever she will look at James and he will actually look back. But before she can even try to communicate to him through looks he turns his head.

Today was a day when none of them even bat an eye to her. And that probably hurts the most of all the millisecond looks.

All the Slytherins left Cass. She didn't understand why, but they must have gotten bored. Cass normally spent meals spacing off or walking around the empty halls of the castle. Today was one of the day where Cass did both. She walked around the castle lost in her own thoughts until she bumped into somebody. Out of habit she was gonna say sorry but then she remembered who she had to be.

"Watch it!" She said before looking up at the person who bumped into her. She picked up her things and looked to see who it was.

"Who pissed in your cheerios? Oh wait you hardly eat anymore." Sirius talked down to Cass. He grew a little since she saw him last. The comment hurt her but she was still glad to see him, she had to keep the conversation going.

"Oh shove off, Black." She could think of what to say. she just hoped that he would keep it going.

"So how's being a death eater going?"" Sirius said sarcastically.

This made her pull her sleeve down just in case the dark mark was visible, "How's being a disappointment to the family going?"

"Ya' know you've changed." Sirius said flat out.

"Maybe you're the one who's changed Sirius." Cass was trying not to beak down, she hasn't talked to him since December and now that she finally is it's not the conversation she had planned in her head ending with them being good again, "It's weird seeing you without your little friends. Where are they anyway? Did they get sick of you?" Cass had to be brutal. If she couldn't be good with him again she had to hit him where it hurts. Then maybe she'd feel something.

"You should go, Cass, you'll be late to class... I don't think Voldemort takes dropouts." And with that Sirius walked away.

Cass walked to class trying to pull herself back together from that whole interaction. When she got to potions she sat in her normal spot next to Pandora Lestrange.

After moments of silence as usual Pandora said, "I don't think this whole thing you're doing is really you." She said as if she has been working up the courage to say that for a while.

"Then I guess you never really knew me." Cass said to her not even turning her head to look at her.

Those were the only two people Cass talked to that day. After classes she just went to her dorm and the cycle of dread started again.
