"And if letting you go is
The best way to show that I love you, I will"

December twenty first was the day before the train leaves Hogwarts for holiday break. This day also happens to be a Thursday, the school did have classes today but classes were canceled for the twenty second. Cass, Remus, Peter, Sirius, and Regulus were all planning on going to the Potter's house for holiday break.

It was lunch and Cass was staring at James, trying to be subtle. Marlene already had to kick her shins four times because she was staring so much. But Cassiopeia couldn't help it. She loved the way his face lit up when he talked about quidditch, and the way he is so into a conversation with Remus about a book he's is reading and James has no clue what he is talking about but still listens because Remus loved talking about books, or the way he looks at Cass when she talks, like there is not a single person in the room beside her, or the way he loves her and doesn't push her into saying I love you. She loves that about him. She loves James.

Cass was planning on telling James right when she got into the Room of Requirement after dinner, but plans never go correctly.

Cass loved everything about James. His eyes. His smile, his personality. He was perfect for her. Cass never believed in true love or soulmates but then she starting dating James. He was her one true love, her person.

Cass was interrupted by these thought when, for the fifth time, Marlene kicked her under the table. So Cass started listening to the conversation.

"... then I told flitwick that Sirius and James were going to Mcgonagalls office. Then that's when they put the dungbombs in Dumbledores office!" Peter exclaimed to the group.

"I still can't believe you guys did that. You'll be expelled before you graduate." Lily told the four boys.

"Then we will go out in style!" Sirius said as if he was a king.

"I hope you get expelled, that would be fun to see. You would not go with grace." Regulus said laughing at the image of his brother getting expelled.

"I hope no one gets expelled," Cass started, jumping back into the conversation, "How will Remus help me with Care of Magical Creatures if the four of you are expelled?"

"Wow, your own brother got expelled and you only care about Remus? I am hurt Assiopea." Sirius said dramatically.

"Love- we aren't actually expelled." Remus reminded Sirius.

"Idiot." James said smaking him on the back of the head.

"You all are idiots." Mary said.

"I one thousand percent agree." Marlene added.

Cass and Lily both shook their heads in agreement

"Whoa I don't like this." Peter said, "Prongs, their ganging up on us."

"It's not like they hate all men though Wormy. We should be fine."

"Your right." Lily said, " We don't have all men. We still love Regulus and Remus."

"Oi! I never said I liked regulus." Cass jokingly protested.

"Yes, Cass hates all of us because she is secretly a death eater." Sirius said solemnly

The group broke out in laughter. Out of every pure blood at that table, hell the school even, Cass was the least likely to become a death eater, she hates them all.

Soon later lunch was over and the group went back to their classes and Cass couldn't help but to think of James. So in charms she wrote him a note.
