At first Cass was worried that Marlene was going to tell everyone that she was dating James and that she only said what she told Cass at the party to make her feel better. But the day after the party Cass realized that Marlene wouldn't do that and she actually helped them. In between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff practice, since they were back to back, she distracted the teams to let them have a few minutes in private.
Cass was very thankful for Marlene because now she got a few extra minutes with her boyfriend a week. The morning practice on the monday after the game she got to have her extra minute and a half with James before she had to get ready for school. When she went up to James she stopped dead in her tracks.
"Is that a new cologne?" It's not that the new calogne was bad, Cass was glad he stopped sharing it with Sirius, the cologne smelled really good she just couldn't put a word to what the sent was.
"Yeah. Do you not like it?" He asked worried. Smelling his jersey.
"No it smells really good but I just can't pin what he sent is."
"Ohh it's called 'Wonderstruck', it's supposed to smell like a fruity, wood-like, vinalla."
"Ahh I like it. Well we both should be going, i'll see you at lunch?"
"Yes ma'am."
She kissed him on the cheeks and went to her dorm. After she showered she flattened her hair down like she always does, thank Merlin she wasn't a muggle, without spells her hair would be fried off. She put on her school clothes and headed down to breakfast.
She saw Lily sitting at the Gryffindor table and sat next to her. She was studying for her NEWTS.
"Hiya Lils." Cass said sitting down reaching for some toast.
"Hey Cass," she said putting her books down, "how was practice?"
"It was good, we practiced this new play, we are having - I doubt you wanna hear all about this" Cass laughed.
"You're fine, but just so you know I would have no idea what you are saying." Lily told her.
"It's fine, what are you studying?" She asked peeking at the book she set next to her own bowl of oatmeal.
"Just herbology stuff, i'm rubbish at it. I may need to ask Pete for help." Lily sighed.
"I think I need to ask him for help too, I think I am worse at herbology than I am in potions, i'm only passing because it's a partner grade and I have Pandora Lestrange as a partner. She is brilliant at potions."
"Yeah! I talk to her at the Slug Club, she's is really nice!"
"Yeah, she doesn't talk much. Our cousins both got married though."
"Oh yeah! You're somehow related to almost everyone in this school."
"That is true. it's creepy how much inbreeding happens though."
" Yes, it's sick." Lily glanced at her watch, "I should be going, I want to brush up in the library before DADA."
"See you later Lils!" Cass was able to take one bite of food in peace before the marauders came down to breakfast.
"Hey sweet little sister of mine." Sirius said sitting down.
"What do you want?"
"Your toast." Sirius flat out stated.
