August's P.O.V
I never really been completely alone with just the siblings but it is not something I wish to experience again. Miles had arrived back home with that snarky grin on his face. His eyes flickered between the both of us clearly amused. "So? Had a good night? Or need a better one?" I tilted my head, what?
"Honey it was a good night. No need for you to intervene. After all who do you think I am!" He chuckled. Melanie seemed to have been joking but her hands were secured tightly around my waist. It was an odd position as Melanie was shorter but she was able me from behind enough to rest her chin on my shoulder as well.
"My of course dear cousin I apologize! Though might I ask why the shower was running for so long?" He knew... but he wanted to act smug about it all
"An extremely hot heavy shower." I replied leaning my back against Melanie's chest. Miles choked on his own spit, which triggered many coughs. Besides me I could hear Melanie's laughing. Much like her voice her laugh was also deep but yet it was comforting to hear, even better were the vibrations it set against my back as she laughed more.
It was a fun morning but what isn't fun is there shameless teasing and competition of whos better sexually is where I would rather forget.

It was Monday, yay... and soon after arriving Casey and I ran into the siblings. Casey seemed less than excited, she would just huddle closer to me avoiding to look anyone in the face. I looked up confused as a girl made her way towards us. She had curly brown hair swiped to the side and wore a tight top with ripped jeans. Her hazel eyes held mischief in them along with her playful smirk.
"Well hello darling welcome back from suspension!" Melanie threw her arms around the girl as Casey inched closer to me.
"Whose that?" I leaned closer to Casey to ask.
"Raine Castro, she's one of the snakes and Melanie's best friend since half of sophomore year when she transferred over" I raised a brow.
"Who transferred over?"
"Melanie did when she was adopted by Miles family. To be honest I have no idea from where she's from, a mystery." She pulled at her own brown hair twirling it around her finger. My brows furrowed, so that photo...? It leads more on to the possibility of it being her previous family.
Melanie and Raine simply chatted away in front of us as we walked into the school but soon they turned their heads to me. "Oh! Ray this is August my new special little friend." Raine smiled warmly at me. A different one she had compared to earlier.
"Nice to meet you! I'm Raine this perverts best friend." She lazily pointed her thumb towards Melanie who pretend to look offended.
"Nice to meet you too. Where have you been all along if you don't mind me asking?" She smiled sleepily.
"Don't mind! I got suspended for starting a fight with a pesky fox!" She stuck out her tongue out while also pointing her thumbs down.
"Speaking of which puta got away with it too! Stupid privilege bitch!" She threw her hand in front of her showing her middle finger towards some foxes we passed.
Casey and Miles both sighed as Melanie simply placed her hand on her shoulder.
"Relax she'll get what's coming to her." Raine smirked.
"Already did! Slept with her man! And she'll know soon enough!" She let out an evil cackle which caused. Melanie simply smirked. That's a good thing? I felt slightly uneasy of how they don't seem bothered by cheating. My eyes shifted towards Melanie, was she willing to cheat? Great I'm making myself feel even more uneasy.
Despite my thoughts it wasn't long until we all split up heading to our own lockers. When I realized Raine was still near me. "Ooh you and me both got lockers near the Jones! We can suffer together." She dramatically placed her arm over her forehead and leaned back. I simply laughed as I opened my locker sorting through my stuff. She wasn't so bad...

Raine also shared the lunch period with me and Melanie on b days apparently. And nothing seemed out of the ordinary until a girl came running in straight up to Melanie.
"Melanie one of the foxes is trying to start something with newbie snakes and underclassmen! It's bad! And help?" Melanie's brows furrowed in anger even more she clenched her jaw tightly.
"What a pain! Fine let's go." They quickly ran off before anyone else could disagree, Raine gripped my arm pulling me up with her as she ran after them.
"She's gonna do something stupid! Come on lets make sure she'll be okay!" We continued to run after them but suddenly stopped after hearing a hard smack sound. Damn what they slap? The lockers?
"Enough!" Melanie jumped in front of the kid on the ground glaring harshly at the man in front of her. In a different situation it would be funny as it's like a chihuahua standing up to a pit bull. Wait! This is not the time to joke!
"Out of the way skank!" Melanie shook her head. As Raine headed over to the kid on the floor helping him up, and handing him over to me so she can get the others out of here. Is this normal as well? Plus why is it so deserted, were nosy there should be people recording this and cheering.
"Nah.... Your hitting on people out of your league, kid." He glared harder.
"Your wording makes it sound weird! Even-"
"Don't change the subject! And takes one to know one darling." She smirked up at him. His face became redder and he raised his fist taking a hard swing at Melanie. She staggered back her face turned to the side and her knees buckled.
We all went quite, to shocked to speak. I felt my chest tighten, I felt scared for her... shouldn't someone step in?
As he smirked getting satisfied from shutting her up or something he turned to his friends who hyped him up more. He was to distracted as Melanie rapidly focused and swung at his face even harder, nearly knocking him to the side.
Melanie let out a small growl as she gripped the guy by the shirt and pushed him against the lockers causing his friends to back away slowly. Holy shit....
"Didn't see that coming now did you? Now leave the freshman and my snakes alone! And if you can't keep it in your pants you deal with me!" She pushed him harder against the lockers.
Bitch doesn't know when to give up apparently as he raised his knee to her in the stomach hard. Her grip loosened as he in turn slammed her to the lockers.
"Melanie!" Raine yelled out but she stayed put. "Not so tough now?" She simply smirked.
"What is going on here!" A teacher had showed up as she pushed through the small crowed, when she noticed the scene a loud gasp escaped her.
"Harry! Release Melanie this instant!" He released her as she slid down to the floor. The teacher raced to Melanie's side helping her up slowly.
"Fighting is prohibited! I'm gonna have to give you two detention! Your parents will be informed of this as well! Further punishment is up for the principal to decide." She turned to towards us noticing another injured student.
"He didn't do anything Harry just hit him..." Melanie mumbled out weakly.
"Alright... go to the nurses office with me, the rest of you back to lunch or class!" They walked away.
"Come on Melanie will be fine she's a clever one, we know our way around fights." Ya but it didn't mean I wasn't worried I saw her wince in pain when she thought no one was looking. If this is a normal thing... how many times have they taken harsh hits like that? Her knuckles weren't bruised or were they?
