Chapter 13: Tag: Harem

We were grateful that Ms. Kazumi accepted Queen Tanne's offer. There was a small side of me that didn't want to kill my allies, but they seemed scared of me now so it doesn't matter. As the others were sent to a room for all of them, I was told to meet Queen Tanne within the back of the palace.

"Is something the matter, your highness?"

"I wouldn't say it's anything wrong, but I have noticed that you have been getting the attention of my Kiara, haven't you?"

"I apologize for asking, but what do you mean?"

"Kiara has been being more direct and open the more she stays with you. I'd say that's progress."

"For what?"

"You're marrying my daughter of course," she giggles.

"I thought we made a deal that she'll just be part of my team?"

"Well, it is a request on my behalf that you should marry her. The connection is strong between you two. Please, it isn't much to ask. I know you have the other girls on your list, but at least make Kiara one of them."

I sigh, feeling terrible about the situation, "Fine."

"Thank you, now go get some sleep. We have some preparation to do." I soon walked to my room to see the other girls dressing.

"Gah! Clover!" Umi covers herself.

"Oh my, I didn't know you had this kind of fetish," Rii says, still naked.

"Clover, you perv, I'm your sister," Yuki says.

"Clover, I didn't need you to see me like this," Kiara says. "At least... not now..."

I instantly slam the door close, "It's not what it looks like!" It took a while for them to settle down before I could enter. I previously didn't know that they were in the bath. It made me think about myself too. Man, I smelt like shit. After taking a shower I head to bed with the rest of the girls.

We soon wake up and get ready for today. We were told to hang loose for today, but I decided to keep mine under my coat. I feel like something is going to go wrong. We then set toward the dining hall. There was plenty of food of all kinds from pasta, to rice, to steaks. It was an entire platter. This was more than we came in, but I assume that this is just a welcoming party for the others.

"This is a lot..." Hunter says.

"Clover, how did you get all of this?" Jack says.

"It's called killing, the only thing to do to survive in this world," I say, taking a seat.

Yuki and Kiara were sitting by my side and started to feel an electrical surge between the two. I could already tell that this is going to go wrong.

"Clover,little brother, try some of this," Yuki says, putting a spoon on my mouth.

"Disagreed, you should try this," Kiara says, putting a spoon to my mouth. "I cooked it especially for you so I hope you'll enjoy it."

"Hey! That's not fair!"

"I don't see why it isn't. Aren't we fighting for Clover's heart?"

"Guys, you're making a scene..." I interrupt.

"Clover, just come sit with me," Rii says as Umi stands up.

As we switched places, breakfast continued. Everyone chatted, talked, ranted, and debated. Even Ms. Kazumi started to enjoy herself with Queen Tanne. As breakfast ended, Queen Tanne and the others set out around the city. They came through tailors, blacksmiths, and farms. It was much different compared to Irelia. Everyone lived in a nice and stable home. Even the farmers enjoyed what they did due to the Queen's rule.

Passing by one of the blacksmiths, there was some sort of armor prepared for her. It came with full chain mail, steel, and a crowned helmet to represent her role. This just wasn't a tour of the kingdom, it was a preparation for war. Continuing on, I noticed someone hooded on the roof so I decided to check it out.

"All I need is one shot to end this war once and forever," the assassin says, loading a bullet into his rifle. As he was about to pull the trigger, I pulled mine, puncturing him through his head. I then discarded his body to a trash bin outside of a restaurant and continued on,

They soon reached the barracks to meet Rebekka and the boys seemed a little flustered. Not surprised. She's a wonderful and fearsome young woman. I could've taken a gander at her if I had the chance. I then landed next to the group and acted like I needed to use the restroom. Throughout the barracks, the special soldiers were training the recruits on how to use their weapons against the Irelian soldiers.

"If you couldn't tell, young heroes. This is a preparation for war," Queen Tanne says. "I want each of you to train under the command of Rebekka and learn how to fight against the Irelian soldiers and trust me, the Irelians aren't as weak as you think. The soldiers have might, strength, toughness, and the desire to kill."

"This is going to be a tough one isn't it?" Axel says.

"Of course young Axel, the mages, and the snipers are one to worry about the most."

"The queen is right," I step into the conversation. I fought a few Irelians before as a bounty hunter."

"You were a bounty hunter?" Katsumi asks.

"Indeed I was. Only for the kill, and rarely for the money. They're tough and they're annoying as hell."

Rebekka starts laughing and the guys get irritated.

"For the sword users, I was you guys to be in command of Rebekka and Kiara, ranged, with Clover, magic, with Umi and Rii."

"Wait, does that mean that Clover is going to be training me?" Ms. Kazumi says.

"Yes, you're correct."

"So the tables have turned, haven't they?"

Ms. Kazumi giggles, "I guess they did."

As the next day arose, we started to train. Splitting into groups, I told my group to start stretching and exercising while I take a look at the others. At first, I decided to check on Rii and Umi and see how they are doing. They didn't seem to be out in the field so I went to the library. To my surprise, the library was huge, well I shouldn't be, to be honest. The library looked like it had millions of titles from all over the world of Mongolia. There were books about magic, monsters, civilization, and more, but none of the girls were there. I then walked to the library to the garden and all I saw were the colors of the rainbow.

"Oh Herr, ich bete darum, auf dich zu werfen, leichte Kugel!" I hear Kiko say, summoning a beam of light at the target.

"Good job!" Umi says.

"An intermediate spell, not bad," Rii says.

I smile then walk back to Mrs. Kazumi. "Ready for some archer training?"

She nods, finishing her stretching. I then grabbed a bow from the table and tried to shoot a boy myself. I pulled the arrow back and aimed for my target, I took a breath in, then exhaled and released the arrow. The sound of the whistle came quickly as the arrow hit the dot on the target. Ms. Kazumi then came next and shot the arrow, hitting the target as well. We then started to work on skills and moved on with training.

"Hey Clover, I want you to do something for me," Queen Tanne says.

"What's up?"

"I was able to round up about twenty riflemen and I want you to be in charge of that group when we attack Irelia."

Without hesitation, I accepted her offer.
