Virginia's POV

I looked at the frozen over lake wondering if the ice was thin or not then I grabbed a rock and slammed it onto the ice. The ice had barely cracked when I slammed the rock on it, so it must be safe, right? I asked myself and stepped onto the ice being careful as to not fall to the ground on my ice skates. I slid forward a bit when I was on the ice and I closed my eyes as I kept going forward, just slowly down a bit then I opened my eyes again and panicked when I didn't stop as the ice had suddenly been getting thinner.

I panicked and fell off to the side then I heard a loud crack and I slipped in quicker than light could travel. I fell into ice cold water that froze my body at the touch and I just stopped, my body didn't function properly at the sudden large, large drop in the temperature. I had only dropped deeper into the water trying to hold my breath for as long as I could before I gave out and released the air from my body and tried breathing in but doing that had only brought water to flood my lungs. My body had jolted at the pain but that had been the only movement I seemed to make before going completely limp again.

My body forcefully breathed in again, it was more painful than last time and I started seeing black bubbled float around my eye. The black bubbles slowly got bigger over the seconds until I saw nothing but pitch black.
