I decided to go for a run to clear my head after not only finding out that Farren is gay but also that his mate is about to cause a war. How the hell am I supposed to fix this?! Fucking magic that's how.

I quickened my pace as the stress increased until I finally realized that I had exited my territory. I was about to turn around and head back when I heard rustling in the woods. I crept forward quietly to see what was there only to hear a twig snap under my paw. Damn it! All that work being quiet wasted.

I spotted a wolf ahead of me and ducked behind some brush. He turned around quickly, obviously hearing all my noise. He must not have known where exactly the noise came from because he lunged towards a bush to the left of me. A small rabbit bolted away in a mad rush. He looked baffled, just staring at the spot the bunny had once stood. I took advantage of that moment, lunging from behind the weeds and tackled him to the ground. My teeth were bared at him, daring him to make a move.

A feeling of admiration washed over me, replacing the anger I felt before. I couldn't control my thoughts anymore, my wolf wanted to take control. She wanted to take what was hers.

He had the same look of admiration in his eyes but quickly it was replaced with disgust. Oh he thinks he can do better than an Alfa? Fine then I don't need him! My wolf was hurt by the clear rejection in his eyes. She didn't want to believe it but there it was, clear on his face. She backed down and returned all control to me.

When I finally regained control I snapped my teeth at his neck. He flinched in response before bearing me his neck in submission. That's right you little twit, I'm the damn boss around here. I backed away from him, allowing him to get up but not letting my guard down. Slowly he stood, making sure not to make any sudden movements. When he was up and standing, be bowed his head to me before taking off in the other direction. My wolf howled in pain at the rejection but I merely pushed her aside. I wasn't gonna mourn over a halfwit that doesn't know what he's missing.
