I'm going to die. This is the end. I'm done for. I'm going to die. This is the end. I'm done for.

That's what's going through my mind right now. Over and over, as I run for my life, zig zagging by trees, getting cut after cut. My feet throb, and I can feel gooey stuff under them every time I take a step. Oh yay, blood! I think sarcastically.

I would introduce myself, but seeing as I'm about to die...well yeah.

Looking ahead, I see a tall hill, covered in green grass and tall, beautiful trees. If I wasn't near death, I would probably enjoy the view.

Okay, I think, Just get up the hill. That's what Dan said. Dan. Oh my god where's Dan?!?!

I look behind me, then immediately regret it. I see Dan, right behind me, sweat streaming down his face, exhaustion and fear show through. His black hair shines from the moonlight, and his green eyes look dark. His suit is tattered, ripped in so many places, much like my dress come to think of it.

Behind him, I see the...well...fury. I know, I know, you're thinking, What's a fury? Well my dear friend, to you it is a mythological creature. They are usually associated with Hades.

But person I don't know, like you said, those things are myths!

I promise you, it's as much of a myth as George Washington is alive. This thing is real, and it's trying to kill us. It screeches as it flys above us.

I start to feel the increase of the slope, making it harder and harder to run and the pain triple. I yelp in pain wanting to scream, but since I can't, only a yelp comes out.

(Yes, I can't scream, don't judge! Granted I've never had a great reason to, well except for now, but I'm too focused on surviving to worry about that minor detail.)

"Come on, Dan! Faster!" I yell behind me, not daring to look back again. I hear a slight puff come from him, and assume it was his way of laughing right now. "Oh really...I was...planning...to go...SLOWER!" He huffs out in between breaths. I huff my own form of laughter and prepare for my comeback, when I see an fence ahead.

"Dan! Fence!"

He groans in response, and I jump over it with a breeze, him right behind me. He slowly catches up to me and we run side by side, like we have so many times before. We continue to run and I hear another screech, getting closer. I push harder, along with Dan, as we speed up the hill.

He grabs my hand squeezing it tightly, as it swings back and forth along with our motion. "Sis, look!" I cast my gaze ahead of us, and see an arch with weird letters on it. As we get closer, the letters float around like they always have when I try to read, but this time they form actual words. "Camp Half-blood." I say, not understanding what that means.

When we're less than ten feet away, two things happen at once.

First, I see a boy around my age in his blue and yellow pj's and slippers, hair sticking up in every direction. He's running towards us with a gold sword in his right hand, dagger in the other.

Beside him is a Blonde headed girl, hair in a braid down her shoulder, dressed in an orange t-shirt, and jeans, also carrying two weapons. They both are running towards us, the boys eyes set on me, the girls set on something behind me.

The second thing happening, without me realizing, is the fury starting to dive down. Pajama boy moves his mouth, trying to say something, but all I hear is noise, no words. Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder and middle back, like a knife being stuck in me. I gasp in sharply, frozen from the shock. I feel what ever stabbed me ripping back out, causing more pain, then I start falling.
