I groan as I feel myself waking up from a long peaceful night of rest. No dreams, no waking up, just good ol' fashion sleep. I raise my hands to my eyes to try and open them. When I try to open them, well, it felt like sandpaper rubbing against sandpaper.

After a LOT of blinking, I'm finally able to keep my eyes open for longer than a few seconds. I slowly roll off my bed and trudge into the bathroom where I take a warm shower to wake me up. After I get out, I wrap myself in a towel and put another one on my hair. I go to the sink and brush my teeth.

When I walk out, I go to the stereo Leo put in a while back. I put on the song Please Don't Go by Joel Adams. I love this song so much. As I put on clothes and finish packing, I can't help but sing along.

I wait until the humming stops to join in.

"Nobody ever knows, nobody ever sees.

I left my soul back there no, I'm too weak

Most nights I pray for you to come home.

Prayin' to the Lord, prayin' for my soul.

Now please don't go.

Most night I hardly sleep when I'm alone,

Now please don't go, oh no.

I think of you whenever I'm alone, so please don't go."

As the song breaks back into the humming, I start putting some food in a separate bag as I remember my first time I heard this song. Dan was taking me to get a new blanket since my current one had had holes in it. I was going through my Facebook feed when I tapped on this video that was the music video for this song. I had turned it all the way up so both Dan and I could hear it.

"Cause I don't ever wanna know,

Don't ever wanna see things change.

Cause when I'm living on my own,

I wanna take it back and start again.

Most nights I pray for you to come home.

Prayin' to the Lord, Prayin' for my soul.

Now please don't go,

Most nights I hardly sleep when I'm alone,

Now please don't go, oh no,

I think of you whenever I'm alone, so please don't go.

I send so many messages, you don't reply,

Gotta figure out what am I missing babe

Singing oh oh oh

Oh I need you now I need your love.

Oh oh wooaaaah!"

At this point my eyes are closed and I'm just singing along and dancing to the beat. Everything slips away as the final verse starts.

"Now please don't go,

I said well, most nights I hardly sleep when I'm alone

Now please don't go, oh no.

I think of you whenever I'm alone

So please,

Please don't go

Please don't go
