Guys! You have no idea how freaked out I got after I saw I had 100 reads! I was freaking out and texting my friend in all caps about it! Like, this is so awesome! And this is only the eighth chapter! Thank you guys SOOO much!!!!!! You guys are freaking awesome! Also, sorry last chapter her name was Max, I went back and fixed it, idk what I was thinking lol
Mal's P.O.V.
"Bullseye!" I lower the bow from my face to see three arrows all in the center of the target. Will Solace stands off to the side, looking on, along with Leo and Dan.
"Nice, Lemon drop!"
"Yeah, go Mal!"
I can't help but to grin, especially as I look over by the stables to see Nico leaning against the doors, arms crossed, smiling over at me. I look down, feeling my cheeks turning red, and brush some hair out of my face.
When I had woken up this morning, a bow was sitting in the corner of my room, along with one of those things that you have over your chest like a sash, full of arrows.
The bow had a white glow around it, like how all the gods appeared in the Disney movie Hercules. The actual bow is a light lavender color, and the bows a light blue color, which are my two favorite colors!
When I put the arrows over my chest and have the bow across my chest forming an 'X', I looked in the mirror to see how I looked, but they weren't there. I looked back down and saw them, but only faintly. I guess that their enchanted for when I'm, like, in battle, or need to hide them.
Leo comes bounding over to me with a excited glint in his eyes along with a hint of mischievousness. "Do you think you could split the arrows?"
I think for a second, then shrug my shoulders, "Well lets find out, shall we?"
His grin spreads across his face and he jumps back over to the guys. I pull out another arrow, and notch it on the string. I focus on the center one, and aim in the same spot I did when I shot it.
I take in a deep breath then let it out slowly, relaxing my hand which sends the arrow flying. Before our eyes, the arrow splits the other arrow in half, directly down the middle.
When I look over at the guys, Wills mouth is hanging open, along with Dans. Leo on the other hand is jumping up and down, doing some kind of weird yet awesome dance moves. "Oh yeah! My bestie is a freaking boss! she split her own arrow! Oh yeah!"
I bust out laughing, which snaps Will and dan out of their trances. "Lemon, that's absolutely awesome!" Dan comes running over to me and picks me up in a hug. I laugh as he spins me around, like how he did when we were kids.
After he sets me down, I see Will coming over to us. Before he has a chance to talk, I glance over at the stables looking for Nico, but get slightly disappointed when I don't see him.
"I don't even know if I can do that!" I turn my head back to the conversation with Will, and I can see the bewilderment on his face. I shrug my shoulders, "Have you ever tried?"
He shakes his head, so I hand him my bow and an arrow. "Try it!"
He notches the arrow, and aims at one of my other arrows. After a second, the arrow goes flying. When it hits, we all see how it missed by maybe an inch.
His shoulders slump down, and he hands me back my bow. "Guess dad blessed you more than he did me."
"Sorry Will, I-"
"No, it's cool." he says, shrugging it off, "I'm the best at healing so we're even."
I smile, and look over at Leo. "So what's next?"
