We stand in silence for a while, me looking at him, him looking at his shoes still. I can't believe that Leo would do this for me. I mean, he must have done this before we even met, and he made it, perfect.

Like, you know how when you're just doing stuff on the internet, then you see that dream bedroom that's just something only a billionaire could get their kids? This is one of those bedrooms.

After about five minutes, I walk forward so i'm right in front of him. He glances up, still keeping his head down. I smile, and put mine down too.

"So how those shoes looking?"

"Pretty good. They have imperfections there, there and there."

"Ah. I see them. There's another one. Right there."

"Yeah. I need new shoes."

"Nah, you're just looking to closely. It helps if you look up sometimes."

"Kinda don't want to."

"What, you can't handle my face?"

He looks up at me, gleam in his eyes, smile on his face. "I'm a Valdez. I can handle anything."

"Oh really?"

"Yep."

I take the last step separating us, looking into his eyes for a few seconds. I slowly snake my arms around his torso, pulling him in close. I nuzzle my head into his shoulder, as he does the same with mine.

Just hugging him makes my feel warm inside. He's taller than me, so it feels like he's protecting me. Since I'm a hugger, I know all kinds of hugs.

Leo's hugs: #2

We stand there for who knows how long, just enjoying being in each others arms. "Thank you, Leo."

"Anything for my best friend." I smile, then pull back. "I'm very lucky to have you as my best friend."

He smirks, nodding his head. "Yeah, I've been known to be pretty awesome, so that's expected from me." I laugh, and we joke around for a few more minutes.

"Hey, we should get ready for diner." As soon as he says that, my stomach announces itself. By that, I mean it makes the loudest noise I've ever heard come from inside of a person. It sounded like a lion had been trapped in my stomach and was trying to roar it's way out.

"Yeah, that sounds like a great idea." Leo leaves so that I can get ready, so I grab a towel, the clothes Connor got for me earlier, and head to take a shower.

Leo's P.O.V.

As soon as I leave the bunker, a smile is plastered on my face. Just spending time with my best friend is amazing. I mean, she's amazing. She's got this dark red hair, that's just perfect on her. She has the sweetest smile, and the cutest dimples.

She's got a great personality too. She's so easy to get along with, and so happy. Always happy. Maybe that can be her nickname that only I call her. Happy. Yeah, that fits her.

Dan told me some things about her that I don't think she knows that I know. He told me she has bad anxiety, and how it started. I mean, if that happened to me, geez. I'd be a shell that'd never open up.

He also told me she had a dark time in her life. What happened, I'm not sure. Only thing I am sure of is it's not something I'd want to hear before going to bed.

Dan says she has such a pure heart, and she does. The way she is, always kind to people, make you wonder why she's like that.

It's like when someone's talking about their passion, then keeps apologizing for going on and on about it. You know that at one point, someone told them that they didn't care about it, and for them to stop talking. It's heart breaking.
