Chapter 24

        "Lee! Fuck, fuck fuck, shit... Dammit..." Naruto muttered following Lee out the door, "Listen! Big Brows, I- I told you not to do anything drastic??"

        "I am not doing such a thing. I am just... Going to look for my love." Lee said, getting into his car.

        "Dude! You need to come back inside. Cool off a bit. They won't go far. You don't need to be the one dictating Gaara, man!" Naruto whispered in a worried tone."

        "I am not dictating him, I just do not want him to leave. Is Gaara not an adult? Why is his brother making decisions for him! I am going to find Kankuro... Hunt him down." Lee said, starting his car and driving away.

        Naruto rubbed his hands against his thighs anxiously. "Dammit..."

        "Are you good, Gaara?" Kankuro asked, looking towards the back seat in his mirror.

        "... Yeah. Fine." Gaara muttered, petting Akamaru.

        "We'll get to the airport soon." Kiba said, scrolling through his phone.

        "Where are we going?" Gaara asked.

        "NOWHERE IF THIS TRAFFIC DOESN'T START MOVING-" Kankuro slammed his hand against the horn, "DAMMIT, MOVE YOUR ASSES!"

        "Damn, Kankuro, Break a window while you're at it, too." Kiba says, rolling his eyes.

        Gaara looks out the window, covering his ears. Kankuro was always the loud kid, especially when he got angry.

        "What...." Gaara stared hard at the car next to them, "Black hair... Sharp jawline... Oh my God."

        Rock Lee stared directly into Gaara’s eyes. Lee slowly mouthed the words, "Come here."

        Gaara waited for a second, then opened the door, grabbing his things on the way out, and hopping into the passenger seat of Lee’s car.

        "We can easily get you therapy here. Do not leave me." Lee said, putting the car in reverse, turning it around, and driving away.

        "That's... Where Kankuro was taking me?" Gaara muttered.

        "That is what he told me. But... it is fine now," Lee said, focusing a little too hard on the road, "I have you back."

        "...Lee, are you alright?" Gaara asked, starting to get nervous.

        "I... I am fine. I wish for you to never leave me. I was scared you would go... and not come back." Lee said.

        "Lee-"

        "Gaara. Marry me."

        Gaara stared at Lee, bewildered.

        "B- Lee, you're not in the right state of mind..." Gaara muttered.

        "We have gone out together, have we not? Think of this as another one of those dates. I... I want you to stay by my side for the rest of our lives. I love you." Lee said, parking the car at the side of the interstate.

         "Lee... I'm flattered but... Wait for a bit. Let's just... be lovers for now." Gaara said, putting his hand on Lee's shoulder.

        "... As you wish." Lee laid his head on the steering wheel for a second and took a deep breath.

        "How did you... you know... find me?" Gaara asked, removing his hand from Lee's shoulder.

        "I drove in the direction of the nearest airport, and I recognized your brother's car from when I first met you in that little flower shop of yours. He parks horribly." Lee responded, lifting his head in the process.

        "You remember when we first met?" Gaara asked, looking at Lee softly.

        "Yes, I'll be forever thankful for my Father's wilting flower that brought me to your shop that day." Lee said, smiling at Gaara, but then looking in the rear-view mirror.

        "HEY. DUMBASS. YEAH, YOU. STOP KIDNAPPING MY BROTHER!" Kankuro shouted, muffled, from the outside of the car.

        Lee turned and looked at Gaara like he just got caught robbing a bank, then looked back at Kankuro, smiling while rolling the window down.

        "Hello, Brother-In-Law! Lovely day, is it not?" Lee said, acting as if he did nothing wrong.

        "BROTHER IN LAW? DON'T GIVE ME THAT SHIT. GAARA, GET OUT NOW." Kankuro yelled, pointing at the redhead.

        "No." Gaara crossed his arms and looked the other way.

        "Gaara, don't do this." Kankuro said, sadly.

        Lee waved to Kankuro, rolled the window up, and drove back to campus.

        Once they arrived, Lee parked the car, grabbed Gaara's things and went upstairs to Gaara's dorm.

        "Do you need any help with anything, Gaara? I am very skilled!" Lee exclaimed, flexing.

        "Lee, all I need is to never be separated from you again. Not knowing when I would see you again was a nightmare..." Gaara muttered, looking to the side.

         "Gaara, I-" Lee started, but wS soon cut off.

         Gaara kissed Lee quickly, grabbing the collar of Lee's t-shirt in the process. After letting go of the shirt, Gaara backed up, got down on one knee, and grabbed Lee's hand.

        "Lee... I want to marry you now," Gaara said, gazing into Lee's eyes, "I love you."
