Chapter 3 - The REAL First Day

R-o-c-k -- L-e-e -- P.O.V

       As Lee finished cleaning up and unpacking in his room, he stands straight and sighs, looking at his paper that shows when and where his classes are. The only thing Lee really looked forward to that day was going to a flower shop that was not too far from campus and finding out what was wrong with the flower. All of the sudden, his radio started blaring a good song. Lee's eyes widened and he starts singing. 

"SHE'S A VERY KINKY GIIIIRL!!"

"THE KIND YOU DON'T TAKE HOME TO MOTHERRR!!" 

"SHE WILL NEVER LET YOUR SPIRITS DOWN!!!"

"ONCE YOU GET HER OFF THE STREET"

....

"SHE'S ALL RIGHT! SHE'S ALL RIGHT WITH MEEEE, YEEEAAAAAHHHH"

"THAT GIRL'S ALL RIGHT WITH ME!!!"

       "SHE'S A SUPER FREAK! SUPER FREAK! SUPER FREAKYYYY!!!!" Lee sings, shaking his butt and dancing all around the room. All of the sudden he hears his door click and he looks in the direction, freezing. His good friend Naruto walks into the room and starts laughing.

       "BUSHY BROWS?? WERE YOU DANCING???" Naruto says, laughing and slapping his knee. Lee breathes in deeply. 

       "You have caught me, Naruto. I was dancing." Lee mumbles, going to his radio and turning the 80's music off. 

       "I didn't know you liked listening to music. Ya know what that means? We can disturb the neighboring dorms with our loud music >:]" Naruto says, putting his hands on his hips and smiling a toothy smile. 

       "I do not think that is a very youthful thing though, Naruto. Oh! And have you figured out who is also rooming with us? There is an extra room! I mean... Assuming you are one of the people in this dorm with me." Lee says, getting quieter.

       "OH! Yeah! I am rooming with ya! And I think Kiba or Shikamaru is rooming with us." Naruto says, holding up a thumb. Lee didn't know either of them that well, but he knew that with Kiba, Naruto would probably do some unyouthful things. Examples being that they could start coming back to the dorm drunk, they could skip classes together, they would probably play pranks, and worst of all, Kiba will probably bring his dog Akamaru secretly, though I don't think Akamaru is small enough to get snuck in...  He is huge. 

"Oh. Alright then!" Lee says, grabbing his radio and shoving it under his bed, which now had green covers and white sheets, the reason being that Lee had brought his own sheets from home for he did not like sleeping on the covers that were already there. There was no other reason than that. He just didn't like it. He sighed as Naruto left the room to set up his room. He had seen Naruto's schedule, for it had been sent to him over text by Naruto. Naruto had his first class at 10, unlike Lee, who's first class was at 7:30. Then Lee had one other class that day which was at 2, then he was free the rest of the day, which he'd spend going to the flower shop to see if they could do anything about his Lotus. 

       What felt like only ten minutes, Lee left the dorm on his way to his first class. He had an extra pep in his step, which there wasn't really a reason as to why. He just did. It seemed he always did. He was rarely ever sad, which surprised him. He wasn't sad when he was younger either. He once had broken his arm but he still smiled and laughed and said it was nothing. He was strong as a kid, but he's even stronger right now. His current state. Not a minute later, Lee reaches the building for his first class. He takes a minute to take it all in, then walks into this big building.

       After that class was over, he had to take another two minute walk back to his dorm, to which he then had to wait out FOUR HOURS until his next class. He could have gone to the flower shop, but he had told Kakashi that he would go after classes. When it was finally time to go to his next class, he ran there, sat down, and then it started.

       Then, after THAT class was finished, Lee took a minute to run all the way back to his dorm, grab the flower, then go to his car to drive to the flower shop. He was determined, still, to get this flower back into it's tip-top healthy self. To Lee, whether it was a human, animal, or plant, he would do anything to save it. He was too caring and compassionate, someone had told him when he was younger. He blasted his 80's music yet again on his way to the small shop that wasn't too far from campus. When he got there, he got out, grabbed the plant, slammed the door, and walked quickly into the flower shop. He looked around the small shop, which was filled to the top with flowers, aloe plants, cacti, and much more. His eyes then landed on a young man that was shorter than Lee, probably younger than Lee as well, who was standing behind the counter towards the back, reading a book about cacti. There was only one thing that stood out to Lee from this young man, which was his hair. His hair was a bright red color which was beautiful, and it blended well with the pink and green apron he was wearing. Lee gulped. He'd never seen someone more handsome in his life. He slowly walked up to the counter and set his Lotus down. The young man looked up from his book. 

       "Hello... How can I help you today?" The man asked. Lee looked at the Lotus, then back at the man.

       "I-I came because my... Uh... Flower... Is... D-Dying..." Lee says, stuttering from the beauty of this red haired plant keeper. 

       "Ah. A lotus? I haven't seen any of these in a while...." The man says, picking it up and examining it. Lee gulped again. He wanted to know his name. He started to grow fond of him.

       "M-Might I ask.. What is your name?" Lee asks, trying not to stutter. The man looked at Lee, confused at first, but then he started softly smiling, which was something gorgeous to Lee.

       "My name is Sabaku No Gaara... But you may call me Gaara. I now realize that I have seen you somewhere before...." Gaara says, narrowing his eyes at Lee. "Ah, now I know.... I've seen you on campus." 

       "O-On campus??" Lee gasps, covering his mouth. Gaara was on campus? Or did he just happen to be driving by and see Lee?? 

       "Yes, I believe you were walking to your... First class? Around 7 wasn't it? I also believe we are in the same dormitory." Gaara says, still smiling as he walks around the wall beside the counter and going into a room with the Lotus. Lee follows slowly, just wanting to see Gaara. Lee now realized he didn't have a crush on Sakura Haruno anymore.... He had a crush on Sabaku No Gaara.
