Intrusive Thoughts

"Pennie, I'm getting a bad feeling from this." Abigail said, she tried catching up but Pennie was faster than her, she tried to be as loud as possible for her to hear. Abigail is the brain of the group when it comes to these things. Most of the time, Pennie makes impulsive decisions, Abigail stops it, Lucy weighs out both options, Johnny just goes with the flow of the conversation.

Pennie continues to cycle around, Abigail was worried and frustrated because of Pennie. Johnny continues to look at Pennie to make sure she's alright and that she doesn't go anywhere, also looking at Abigail, waiting for her to say something that will stop Pennie. Lucy was just following Pennie, but she was at the back because she wasn't as fast as the others.

"Let's just stay here for awhile." Pennie finally stopped cycling, from being too tired. 
She sat down in the middle of a place which she isn't familiar with. It was all trees already, no houses, no people, no animals like awhile ago. All trees. "What's at the back of these trees?"

"That's a forest, Pennie." Abigail was still as mad as before. She still wasn't used to Pennie being too reckless. But this time she knew that there was an increase to it.

"What's behind the forest? What's next?" Pennie didn't even look at the others, she was too curious of what is there to see.

"Not China, we're in Connecticut." Abigail says, out of breathe. Johnny and Lucy had a bit of laugh, barely because they are just as exhausted. Abigail, on the other hand, is glaring at Pennie.

"Not funny. Let's go there." Pennie got up again and walk through the trees. She already had her rest, not the others, just her. She seems to be back, she already had the energy back even after just a fast seat.

Walking all through out the forest, they didn't even know there destination or what will meet them when Pennie stops.

"One of these days, you're going to regret being so curious about everything." Abigail shouts to Pennie. Abigail knows Pennie won't stop until she finds something, right or wrong, happy or creepy. Lucy was just complaining about how itchy everything is to her, from grass to bugs. She wasn't a person of nature, she liked going out but not to forests. By going out she meant eating at restaurants and watching movies.

Johnny was right beside Pennie, following her wherever she goes. Pennie was looking straight forward or up to see where to go next. Johnny was looking down, making sure Pennie doesn't step on snakes or plants. Nothing was that interesting it was all trees and animals. No pretty flowers or pretty animals but Pennie's green eyes seem to shine more under the sunlight.

The two were in front, Lucy in the middle, and Abigail is at the back, looking at everyone, where they are and what they are doing.

"There!" Pennie says, after hearing a dog bark. Everyone heard it, but only she seems to locate where it came from, she point with her finger to the North-East direction of their current path.
Everyone walks follows with a worried look caused by a heavy feeling with them.

They walked even if there was no path to walk in, it didn't follow the path that was given, and now they are trying their best to not step on any plants. It was the same as awhile ago, one angry, one disgusted, one worried, one curious.

They were all greeted by a dirty, broken small building; which looked way too low to even have a third-floor, and was lucky to have a second one building. It was also closed area, given out by the nets and electric fences.

It wasn't as big as other buildings they see in the cities.It was grey and sad compared to the beautiful forest that led them here.

The dog that barked was nowhere to be found, everyone looked everywhere, still refraining to move closer to the building.

"Pennie, let's go home. Please, this makes me worry. " Lucy says, scared and shaking. Also looking at Abigail, expecting her to do something about it

"Don't tell me you want to go there." Abigail says. She had much more frustration than she had awhile ago when they were still on their bikes. She was also scared, but she knew she was the only one who could stop Pennie from all this danger.

Pennie agreed to go home after awhile of thinking. She had a look that made her look like she was questioning something. In her mind, she was still thinking about the dog, and whatever might have happened to it. She was slightly frustrated by her friends for they just ignore the building completely. It might be dangerous, she knows. But what about what is happening inside?
