"Are you alright?" Mrs. Leyton asked Pennie, she saw how Pennie was alone and even got on her knees to be more comfortable for Pennie to look at. Pennie, did not answer at all, looking blankly to Mrs. Leyton's eye. Pennie was not that worried about the body on the inside, she knows exactly what is happening, and it is almost exactly how she wants it to be.
Well, she's worried or at least feeling something negative. But not the same way her friends are. The three were shocked about the body, and are naturally, how a human being would react, shocked about seeing one. For Pennie, she was worried that she would get caught, and she's worried about her poor friends, who she forever may have traumatized.
Mrs. Leyton breathe a sigh, completely worried for the four children. All parents and siblings in that house, in that room were worried.
Pennie doesn't know the next step. She was oblivious of what would happen in the police station, or whevere she may go. She doesn't exactly know how to pretend that she was clueless. She was a great liar. But she knows that anyone she would be facing during the investigation would be a professional, and that they would know better than Pennie in every single step anyone takes.
Pennie, still in front of Mrs. Leyton's eyes, tried to appear like she couldn't speak, making a helpless facial reaction. Opening her mouth a bit but refusing to make a sound to say something. She looked at her with full focus, Mrs. Leyton looked so worried, and it was great for Pennie. Mrs. Leyton got Pennie's hand to make her go beside her, then hugged both her son and Pennie.
Pennie started feeling worse. She was worried for her even though she was the reason she had to hug her son who was suffering.
Still thinking about what she would do, Pennie tried to find a way to read psychology books, or do some research about how criminals act after doing their crimes. She wanted to get out of this more than anyone. There was barely a way she could buy a book, or a documentary, without getting caught. If someone found out about the purchase that she would make, it would've been obvious.
Later, she decided, that she was going to the building again, she hated the man inside of it, but she could only turn to him for help. Later in the midnight again, of course, because whoever will take her in for the day will not let her outside for they would think that there is a possible murderer who would harm her.
*
It was midnight now, and it was time for her to do the things she should, coming back to Dr. Richardson for help and advice on what she step should she take next.
Pennie got off the bed she lied on the whole night of her wait. She snuck out the same way as before, she went out through the window and climbed down the tree, still left her some pain but she ignored it for she was used to it.
She walked away from the Leyton house, and looked back it while doing so, that is the home of the people who took her in, and may become her family forever.
Everyone was so worried, Pennie could see it in their eyes. She felt guilty more and more for every second of the whole day. Not only the families of her friends, but the whole town knew about it because of the police cars, and possibly, one of the siblings her friends could have told their other friends, causing the news to spread around.
Pennie started realizing that her guilt was not as intense as she thought it was; shame was the half of it. She theorized that she felt it because of how she was nothing but a murderer who killed her own mother. She was someone else just the other day, but now, she's walking towards a place she regrets even being inside of.
Pennie, thought to herself that maybe the road she went through had a curse in it; it seems to have been wanting her back since the first day.
She chose left, as usual and and because it matched to her planned decisions. Still, she felt very regretful, if she had chosen not to go to through the left side, and have chosen the right side, it would've all been different.
When she chose the left side of it, she wanted something exciting and new, she wanted to see what existed behind the forest, and what was I sdie the building; now is the opposite, her decisions have brought nothing but regret, not only to her but to everyone in town.
In the part of the forest where Pennie layed the body, it was surrounded by barricade tapes. There was no one there anymore, but it was possible that someone had left a camera something to catch the killer there. Pennie was troubled by the idea of someone watching her at that moment. She felt like she was actually being watched, but she thought that she was just making it up due to the current events that may or may not have messed her mental state up.
She got through the forest and went past the fences the outside of the building had, the door knob was so much cleaner than when she last saw it, it seemed like Dr. Richardson is there or have been there today. She opened the door and went in. This time she didn't shout, just so she wouldn't wake up her brother. She went through each door, to find the two. Each of it, one by one.
"Hello, Pennie." A man's voice form behind Pennie said, it was Dr. Richardson, a man who she had multiple conversations with, but she was scared of hearing the man's voice. Pennie looked through every door meticulously, but she didn't see him. She intended to have a talk with him, but she didn't anticipate that he would great her while being behind her. "Do you need something?"
