Mrs. Leyton was in front of Pennie, sitting down in front of her, she had asked her to sit down and have a talk to her. Pennie doesn't know what it was about but it might be about the body, may she be the good or the bad guy.
"Pennie, whatever I'm going to tell you is going to make you feel. And you can feel. It's fine. Alright?"
"Alright." Pennie answers, worrying for whatever she has to say.
"OK. So you see how your mother hasn't been able to be contacted for days?"
She didn't think of that. She hasn't thought about that. She saw it in the investigator's eye. She never saw it from their perspective. Pennie doesn't know how to slip away from this.
"Turns out she wasn't just busy with work. She's the body, Pennie. The body that you, and your friends saw."
Pennie's fake reaction was disturbed by a knock on the door. A hard knock. Someone's banging the door, actually. Mrs. Leyton opened the door, rushing to see who it is.
"Mr. Frank?"
"Where is my daughter? Abigail! Are you there? Abigail? Where is my daughter?" Mr. Frank rushed inside of the house, walking as fast as he can, shouting his words to, actually, no one.
"She is not here!" Mrs. Leyton shouts at him. This made him stop walking. His eyes turned huge, not believing Mrs. Leyton.
"She's not here?" Mr. Frank asks Mrs. Leyton, worrying for his daughter so much.
"Yes." Mrs. Leyton answers, barely believing Mr. Frank's manners.
"I haven't seen her, she said she was here. Sleepover. It wasn't last night, I don't know the day, she hasn't came back home." Mr. Frank looks like he's been searching for her all day. His hair looks like a mess, compared to how it is most of the time.
"No there was never a sleepover. Only Pennie stayed here." Mr. Frank rushed out of the place as fast as he can, probably searching for his daughter. Who Pennie knows, is dead and hidden in nowhere she knows.
Pennie still knows that she has to fake cry. She had already had two teardrops in her face. Mrs. Leyton closed the door, and went back to Pennie.
"Are you alright, Pennie? What do you want me to do?" By the time she had reached her, Pennie was already fully done faking her break down. Mrs. Leyton tried her best to comfort her. It was a new day for the traumatized little child, and she felt so guilty being the one to tell her. Pennie tried crying as much as she can, even being sent to sleep from being tired from it.
*
Pennie woke up at the middle of the night, around the same time she goes out to go back to the building. It was the perfect time to do it, she had nothing to do for the night, and she could use this time to tell Dr. Richardson about how her day went, and how she didn't think of it the way she should've.
She walked her way there again. Getting tired of the cycle she's in, barely getting sleep at night. Getting nightmares. She had a nightmare tonight. About Abigail. She can barely remember what happened, but Abigail begging for her life was the clearest part. She wasn't begging to live because of Pennie. Three parts of the dream, that's all Pennie remembers, she knows that their is more into it, but she couldn't bring herself to even see it in her mind.
The first part was the most unrealistic part, Dr. Richardson was there, telling Pennie to make a mountain for him see. Pennie collected rocks, then magically made a weirdly-shaped mountain out of it. She reached the top and made Abigail, Johnny, then Lucy go to the top. Then she doesn't really remember what happened next.
The second part was the most haunting part. Abigail ran, thinking that she was fine, to the actual top of the mountain. She slipped and held on to a rock, barely helping to her stop from falling completely. Abigail kept asking for Pennie. But she never went towards her, Johnny did. He held her hand, tried his best to not make her fall down. This made Pennie mad making her step on Johnny's hand, making Abigail fall, but luckily, Johnny reached for Abigail using his other hand. Abigail was already against the odds, and completely fell, making Johnny fall too.
The third part was the calmest one. Lucy, didn't see how her other friends were. She was just sitting in the corner, looking, with no life in her eyes, directly at rocks. Not the sunset, not the trees nearby, just the rocks. Pennie went towards her, then Lucy brings out her bag, then taking food out of it. They had dinner, utterly ignoring out the fact that Pennie had done something horrible.
"Weird dream." Dr. Richardson makes a comment for it. "What did you have for dinner?"
Pennie was disappointed with his words, she thought that he was a smart guy, turns out he was just irritating.
"I'm bored."
"You can do something to help," Pennie raises her head, then looks at him. "You can kill Johnny."
"What?" Pennie got surprised with what he said, so she answers.
"Kill Johnny, his family already got a therapist, only a matter of time for him to tell on you."
Pennie rushes out of the place. Plotting Johnny's murder, thinking about something without having to kill the rest. The worst part this whole thing is that she would do anything that man had asked or told her to do. Even if there is no actual reason, she listens. She doesn't know how he does it, or how she does it, but all she knows is she's stuck in this.
