Guilt/No Guilt

Guilt was not a part of Pennie. Not anymore, at least. Last night, before sleep she was feeling all emotions. She is feeling absolutely nothing. No guilt, no regret, nothing.

Well, she was aware that her acting like nothing has happened was wrong. It was not her decision to become whatever she is now. A chest, all was filled, now was at all nothing. Whatever she felt last night was gone. All gone.

The lovely little Pennie was gone the moment she entered that building. Not now, not yesterday, that day. That exact time. That exact moment. It was only her to failing to enter the building that was the only thing that would have prevented all this.  What has she turned into? Was she on the good or was she on the bad?

For now, she knew she needed a plan. A plan to escape all of her shortcomings. Killing someone was still a crime. And it will never stop doing so, no matter what your reason for it is.

A plan she had already constructed was not very well-made. It was something she would do later in the middle of the day. It was only her bringing her friends to another escapade in the middle of the forest, pretending that it was her again being 'called' to go there. Also pretending that she hasn't been inside the building. She was going to lure them to seeing her mother's dead body. She was not the killer, she was the poor little child who found her mother dead in the middle of the forest. It did sound easy, but everybody knows that talking is easier than taking action.

Pennie was eating breakfast with the Leyton family. It was so perfect here, she felt like. A perfect family. With the perfect things, possibly a perfect past. Pennie wouldn't exactly trust everyone now. But she doesn't see the family as someone who would be against her, the seem like the people who would easily get fooled by anyone. They would be the type to take her in after finding out about her mother. Right now they are the perfect people to someone who was perfect before.

"Do you want to go home alon or do you want Johnny to take you there?" Asked Mrs. Leyton. The kind Mrs. Leyton, she is a kinder person than Paula. Everyone knows that.

"I'll go alone, we'll just both see each other at school later." Pretending it was all just fine was not the hardest job for Pennie. Something in her sleep weirdly made her fine and care less about the situation she thought was going to make her go insane. Or is she insane for being calm? She just killed her mother, and that is not at all a thing to be calm about?

"Pennie, are you alright?" Mr. Leyton asked, noticing her. Pennie's thoughts have made her look like she was worrying about something.

"Yes." Right after answering, Mrs. Leyton stood up to get some syrup for the pancake she had cooked. Mrs. Leyton cooked a lot of things, as usual. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausages.

"The egg is salty isn't it?" Mr. Leyton whispered.
The people at the table had to try their very best not to laugh for Mr. Leyton is very much saying the truth. But obviously, it want not the reason for her facial reactions.

It was now time to be back home. Pennie was on her way to the house that she had committed her worst error. She walked, meticulously looking at very single detail a naked eye could ever see. It was almost like she was waiting for something or someone. No one in particular, just someone.
Probably waiting for her mother to walk back home, which would be quite impossible for she has been murdered. But if it did happen, many possibilities can come to mind. She could be very shocked, that's a given. But after that she might go wonder more which would make her the opposite of what she is now. Calm. She could be delighted that her mother is back, but evidently, she was quite happy for her mother's death. If she did come back it would probably make her mad. Anger might fill her heart for the small 'justice' she had given the people who were hurt had turned into nothing.

Back to waiting for someone, she could possibly waiting for the two. Meaning, 'Paul' her twin, who is still making her wonder about how they looked alike this whole time. Or Dr. Richardson who might help her out with preventing being caught with her crimes.

Or someone who saw her during the middle of the night. A stranger who had caught her, or even just a simple city man minding his own business. But someone just passing by for no reason is not that possible for the Jones' house is not beside the main road, or a road in general.

Something, someone. Right now, all she possibly wants, in one saying, is an answer. She doesn't need all of her questions to get answered immediately. She just wants something to happen, someone to tell her what exactly is happening.

Pennie has reached the front door, she got the keys that were hidden and used it to opened the door. Right after opening the door, she was greeted by a heavy feeling in her neck, the same place she had first stabbed her mother in.

She took a step forward to get to sit, but after the heavy feeling, she started feeling dizzy to the point where she felt like she was about to puke.

She had a hard time breathing, something seems to have been inside her chest. With all of it, her heart was also pounding, faster then before.

She felt like she was being haunted by her mother. Pennie wasn't the type to think of it this way. Ghosts, and evil spirits weren't real to her. She respected people who believed in it, but she was not to be one of them.

But maybe, her thinking that she's being haunted was just her guilt. Her guilt that was never away, it could have been just buried inside of her, supposedly to never be felt again.
