Everyone in the friend group already went to their own homes, but the idea of that building keeps on wandering around Penelope's mind. She was already in bed for awhile, it prevented her from having the good nights sleep that she has always had.

It might be abandoned, it already crossed her mind. But what if it isn't? The door was opened, bigger chance that it was abandoned. But what if someone really was there? It being abandoned might make it safer for her to go to. Wouldn't it be a nice adventure, she thinks to herself.

More questions continues to fill her head . What is inside of that building? What happened to the dog? Is the dog safe? Are the people possibly inside of the building safe?

She tried forgetting about it but it was impossible. Saying she doesn't want to go there but she knows well enough that she is just lying to herself.

She eventually fell asleep, but the last time she checked using her digital clock, it was already 5:00am.

Yesterday was a Friday. Today was a Saturday. Even if it's a weekend, Pennine felt alone. Her friends were out with their families, while she has to stay at home all day. She would go out, but her mother told her not to. Her mom was out again, she had to handle a lot of things. Paula was still hiding things from her but she knows exactly what was happening.

She wishes to go back to the building. She really does. Pennie was a smart and cunning girl, everyone knew that, but she was still an obedient child.

Decided to go back, she was still hesitating but it was always quite impossible for her to even go against her own desires.

Pennie had to make sure she wouldn't get caught or even raise questions. She calls her friends Lucy and tells her that if her mother asks for her, she is at the bathroom at Lucy's home. It wasn't her plan to stay at the building for too long, she was only going to see it for awhile. She also left a message for her mom that says 'Mom, I'm at Lucy's.' which was sticked to the refrigerator door.

Pennie was ready to go now, with her backpack that had 2 flashlights, 2 bottles of water, 3 small towels to make sure she wouldn't be so dirty, 2 small boxes of bandaids, a jacket to cover up if she ever comes home with bruises. All these things wouldn't be 'gone' because Pennie hid it inside of her room for awhile and she bought it with her own money.

She did leave her bike, the first thing her mother would look for when she comes home is her bike. The bike being gone only means that Pennie was away. She thought it would be more exhausting but it was quite early so she could rest for a bit during walking.

"Just this once." She tells herself, locking the door of their house, then hiding the key under the mat. "I won't get into any trouble." Pennie feels it, not only emotionally but also mentally, that she would get into trouble if she goes there. She wasn't entirely sure if she was just guilty for going against her mother's commands or if it was a gut feeling.

Feeling guilty or unsafe, this girl continues to walk, using only her desires as a motivator to go to nowhere. Already weighed the dangers and the safety, danger continues to have more points into it.

She was already where she would have to decide which road she would take, before going through the left one, she asked herself if she really wanted to. She did. If it was safe, she answered herself no. She curses her extreme desire, but still allows it to control her.

She continued to walk to the left side. It was more exhausting than it was yesterday but she refused to sit down or even stop walking for a second.

She went through the forest already, now she's in front of the building. The door seemed to be less open yesterday. It was moved, by someone or, maybe of just air. She wanted to go inside but she finally heard a dog bark.

She went where she heard the dog and it seemed to be inside the building, echoing all through out of it. The door was open, it was right there for her. The dog seemed alright, she thought. No one is there.

Pennie walked past through the metal fence door and stopped in between the metal fences and the actual door to the building. She stopped, she was shaking but she was just right there. She didn't want this. This is danger, she knows. The dog certainly doesn't matter more than her own life. The dog seemed fine, she repeats to herself to stop feeling so guilty about it.

She walked home filled with shame and regret more than she felt like she just dodged a bullet.
She walked slower than she did a while ago.

She was back at home again, opening the door, still shaking slightly. Her mom wasn't home yet which was good for her because it means she wasn't caught breaking her promise to her mother.

She got into the house and sat on the couch, before she could even actually calm her mind she heard her mother's car park, indicating that her mother was home. She quickly got up and changed to new clothes because her pants were filled with dirt.

"Honey, I'm home." Paula said as she enters the house. Pennie greeted her, she was out of breathe from trying to rush but her mom seemed to not notice.

Her mom cooked some food and called Pennie to eat at the table. Conversation arise about what she did today, but she dodge telling the truth and made lies, saying she didn't do much and just watched TV.

The pair sat down together and read a book called 'Curious Adventurer'. The book was about a curse, adventurers get once they enter the state of extreme curiosity. The Adventurer, called 'Saira', went inside a tunnel and immediately died from poisoning. Pennie thought it was a lame story. But her mother used it against her and made a thoughtless assumption that it will happen to her, even though it was just a story.

'Once an adventurer enters the state of deep curiosity, they get cursed. Adventurers were always curious but this curse shall serve itself as a lesson.'
