Sitting at the back of the room watching from a far, Iv already spoken to charlotte her friend didn't come, I was relieved actually because she wanted to set us up. I wasn't interested obviously.

Scanning the room I spotted that Mr oaks at the front, of course he would be at the front when it's time to buy the woman, I hated this part families sold the woman for money it was like living in the old times, degrading to woman Charlotte had no say in this matter, it was the mafia ways.

The selling started first a young blonde sold to some sleazy no man for 1k, is that all she's worth really? How terrible must she feel, the next woman sold for 80k. Last was a woman with beautiful red hair, she reminded me of Lexi even had the same mole in the same place, it can't be her she's out tonight, wait she's in the same area. I shake my head no no it can't be her. I walked a little closer I'm sure it was her, if I ring her and she answers I could pretend I need her for work, so I pulled out my phone and rang her number, straight to voicemail. Great ok it's not her she's probably busy. Why would she be here.

I walked closer to the front, my heart was pounding I don't like mixing Iv taken my medication I shouldn't be feeling like this, my palms were sweating my heart was racing I need to get out of here.

Rushing outside to finally breathe, it felt like the walls were closing in when I was Inside.

Walking back Inside and I hear " sold for 5million"
Wow she's the most sold woman tonight.

I catch up with Charlotte and Quickly say my goodbyes and exit down this hall, as I'm walking I hear a males voice " Lexi Dover Sold for 5million to John Oaks. She's the most sold woman of the night"

I stood cold on my spot. What was happening? How was lexi sold on, this doesn't make any sense.

I Inhale calming my nerves " excuse me gentleman. I will give you 10billion for miss Dover"

The men look between themselves eyes wide, and nod like nodding dogs, excellent.

" take me to her. I will write a cheque"

The man takes me down the hall to a room, we enter and sat in tears on a bed is lexi, what the fuck?

" lexi! How did you get here?"

In between sobs she tries to get the words out " I was taken" is all she managed to get out.

I kneel in front of her and put my finger under her chin gently lifting her head up " listen to me lexi you need to tell me exactly what happened?"

" I was on my way to meet Charlotte here for the party she invited me to. But the driver took me and gave me a number. Did she do this to me? I don't understand why are you here?" Lexi finally managed to say stopping herself from crying.

Was lexi my sisters mysterious friend?

" lexi wait here. I need to find out what's gone on"

" no wait please don't leave me" the fear in her eyes said it all.

How the hell has this happened? First she gets beaten up by her ex now she's taken and sold at a mafia party. This couldn't get an worse. And to top it off I'm a recluse who doesn't like to deal with anyone, Jesus what a day.

Putting my mask back on and exiting the room. " do not let anyone in this room. Not even John Oaks. Iv bought her now not him"

Finally leaving down the hall and into the ball room, my palms are sweating my hearts racing, I try push it all back come on it's for lexi. Finally finding Charlotte " follow me now" I shout Charlotte follows me back down the hall and I stop outside the room.

" Charlotte what was your friends name?"

" lexi why?"

I run a hand through my hair " lexi what?"

" lexi dover. Why? Jasper what's wrong? Your worrying me"

Shit. My sister is lexis pen pal she told me about, ok so that's confirmed let's find out something else.

" did you bring her here to sell her? On the mafia sale"

Slowly opening the door, Charlotte freezes in place before running up to lexi

" omg lexi I thought you wasn't coming? What's happened?"

" I was taken to be sold to John oaks I think he's behind this"

Charlotte looks at me confusion and anger on her face " my brother the billionaire you've been working for?"

Lexi nods her head and wipes a lone tear.

Charlotte pulls out a walkie talkie " get me Samuel Jones the driver and get me Jonathan Oaks down to the back rooms NOW!"
