I was helping Aleksi get teddy for his wedding. He wore a white shirt with a black skinny tie, as I helped him. The boys were planning the celebration. Joonas and I were the witnesses.
"I'm nervous Miranda!" Aleksi whispers to me and I smiled at my black haired friend.
"Don't be nervous." I whisper, while I helped him sort his hair out.
"Thank you for being here with me." Aleksi says while I hugged my best friend. I was so happy for him that he was getting married.
"I hope someday you and Joonas will marry too." Aleksi says with a smile and I laughed.
"Are you ready?" I asked him, and he shook his head no.
"I'm scared." He whispers and I laugh.
"No you'll be fine, I'm here with you." I say until I heard Joonas rush in.
"Joel needs you Miranda. He's freaking out." Joonas says. I nodded, I patted Aleksi on the shoulder and Joel was dressed in a white blazer and black shirt. His blonde hair was down.
"Joel what wrong? I'm nervous as fuck." The blonde haired one says to me and I laughed at how cute he looked.
"Oh come on you two love each other right? Get out there and marry that man or I'll marry him for you." I joked at him.
"Thank you!" Joel says. While we all went inside and we watched them reciting their vows to each other.
"Joonas I'm going to cry, they're so cute!" I said with a sigh, while we sat together and Nova was on our lap.
"I think ther should be us someday." Joonas said with a laugh. As they said I do and they kissed.
"I can't!" I squealed as they signed their names and they wore matching black bands. I was going to cry.
"Yay Hokkason!" I cheered while Aleksi buried his face into Joel's face and we laughed.
My two best friend tied the knot and I was so happy for them. We arrived and the boys started to pop the champagne. I saw Aleksi holding Nova and twirling her around as she giggled in his arms.
I walked up to him, bare feet since we were in Niko's garden and I smiled.
"So how does it feel?" I whisper and Aleksi looks over at Joel while he spoke with Joonas and Niko.
"It was scary but it's awesome. I can see the way Joonas looks at you. He really loves you." Aleksi whispers but at the same time we saw Olli glance at me.
"I wish Olli would talk to us, but it's Joonas it's always been him." I whisper to Aleksi.
"Then my advice is that you go with the one your heart wants, not your head. Besides you and Joonas look good together." Aleksi says to me. While Joonas asks me to dance.
Until Eternity by Blackbriar played in the background, while we danced. I looked over and saw Niko, Joel and Aleksi sitting with Nova playing with her. It filled me with happiness to see that my family was so in love with her.
The fact that Joel and Aleksi married today, I saw them dance together. I smiled at Joonas.
"So when is it our turn?" Joonas asks me and I shrugged.
"Whenever you want I guess." I said while I saw Niko tap Joonas.
"So my mum would like to meet you and Nova. I was thinking how about we go to Helenski for the weekend?" Joonas asks me and I nodded.
(A Week Later)
I made sure to wear my best dress and dressed Nova up and we had to meet Mr and Mrs Porko. Joonas and I stood in front of the door.
"Joonas my son and you must be Miranda. That's little Nova." His mother says and invites us in. She saw that I was wearing an engagement ring.
"I'll go help your mother cook and you can place Nova on the floor next to you." I whisper while giving him a kiss on the cheek. She looked me up and down with a smile.
"Joonas told me a lot about you. He's so in love with you." She whispers to me.
"Yes and I'm in love with him. Although the we had our complications along the way but found our way through it." I said with a smile while watching Nova curl up on his lap.
"It's a little strange how close he is with Nova isn't it? I mean I wouldn't think he would be the type to step up." She says to me and I smiled.
"Well hes a good looking man, honestly I wouldn't have asked to do it. We had broken up at the time I found out I was pregnant with Nova. I left to go and be in England. But he found me." I whispered to her. His mother nods.
"Yes he can be complex like that. It's amazing to see that my son finally put a ring on it." She says pointing to my Citrine diamond ring. I smiled.
"It was quite romantic how he proposed to me." I said with a smile.
"Dinners ready boys!" We yelled for them while Nova sat in her high chair and I helped her eat so she wouldn't get so messy.
"Son you've got yourself a lovely girl. Do you think you two will tie the knot?" His father asks us while we look at him.
"Well we wanted an non-traditional wedding outside in the forest, obliviously the theme is going be black and we just wanted something small and intimate... nothing big." Joonas says and his mother nodded.
"I see well that's good we would love to come." His parents said. We nodded, we hung out for a while longer.
Let's say we had a busy week ahead. Then we decided to schedule a double date with Rachel and Tommi next week on Saturday. It was going to be exciting, seeing him and Rachel together.
Joonas and I spent time together this weekend with Nova. She was growing to fast, it felt bitter sweet. Joel and Aleksi were enjoying their honeymoon and it felt like the family was complete. Although Olli was acting out for some reason, he wouldn't come anywhere near us which was worriesome. But it is what it is.
Joonas and I were happier than ever, eventually I knew I would get planning for our wedding... but we were seeing what the future held.
Nova had fallen asleep and he had put her down and we cuddled up and slept in each other's arms. I watched Joonas sleeping while I ran my fingers through his crazy curly blonde hair, while he slept on my chest. I felt lucky and fortunate to have a gorgeous man in my life .
I just hoped nothing or no one would ruin this for us. Niko had moved on, which was a good thing! He was the best Godfather to Nova and spoilt her a lot. It was really endearing.
One day I found Nova and Niko asleep her little fingers laced in his long brown hair. I recalled all the memories.
"Babe why aren't you sleeping? Come snuggle with me! The bed is too cold without you." Joonas says while I climb into the bed and Joonas laid back and I leaned my head on his chest.
"God I want you so badly now. But I don't want to wake Nova." He groans with a laugh and I laughed.
"Now behave yourself Porko!" I say with a laugh and he chuckled and pulled me into a deep passionate kiss.
