(30) An Unexpected Turn Of Events

The third trimester finally nearing the end of this pregnancy. Thank God, my back was killing me and moving was hard. I think I was 29 weeks pregnant and I found that Joonas has gotten a little distant again.

I could hear Joel and Joonas speaking while I laid curled on my side inhaling Joonas's scent from his pillow.

"You barely leave the house Joonas." Joel says.

"I'm going to be a father Joel, I can't explain come home to my girlfriend drunk can I?" He asks his friend.

"Are you got what it takes to be a father?" Joel asks Joonas. I heard Joonas take a sharp breath.

"I'm fucking scared! But I love Miranda so much, that I'm willing to try." Joonas whispers. Did he love me? Was I being selfish to him? I had completely fucked up his life and the bands.

I found myself getting emotional and a tear streams down my face. I wore Joonas' AC/DC shirt and I got up and looked at my reflection. I looked bigger and more uglier. God when will this baby get out of me?

I begin to sob and I heard footsteps rushing toward the room.

"Miranda why are you crying?" Joonas asks worriedly. I shook my head no telling him to go. Joonas walks over to me and walks me over to our bed.

I laid on my side while Joonas spooned me from behind and his large hand was placed on top of mine on my baby bump.

"I'm sorry I fucked up your life Joonas. You liked to partying and getting drunk. I took all of that away from you." I whisper while crying some more.

"No baby you didn't. In fact I'm the one who should be sorry. I got you pregnant and now you're crying." Joonas whispers in my ear.

"I heard what you said to Joel." I whisper and I pulled away from Joonas.

"What do you mean? That I'm scared shitless that I feel like I'm losing sleep about being an epic failure." Joonas says sighing and putting his head in his hands.

"If you feel like it's a burden Joonas I can leave." I whisper and he sighs.

"I don't want you to leave! Why do you think I came to London. Miranda La Fay, I love you more than life itself. Pregnant or not! But you're the mother of my baby and I want to be with you for the rest of my life." Joonas says while he moves closer to me and kisses me.

I was overwhelmed with emotion once again. I wanted to touch him and feel him close to me.

"I love you too Joonas Henrik Porko although you're an idiot at times. But you're my idiot." I said, while we both laughed.

"As much as I hate to admit it! But yes you're right." Joonas says with a laugh. And we both started laughing, until I felt a kick yes the baby moving and kicking up a storm.

"Well I guess our little one can hear us." Joonas says with a sigh and placed his hand on my bump.

"We can do this together!" I said to him placing my hand on top of his.

"Oh if not we got Tommi to help us figure it out." Joonas says and once again we start laughing.

"Oh my God poor Tommi." I said with a laugh, while Joonas' blue eyes look into my green ones and he pressed his lips against mine.

"Yes he's our facts guy so we need his deadpan jokes!" Joonas says and leans his forehead against mine.

"Joonas I look fat, once this baby is born. I'll never look the same." I whisper.

"Oh are you serious? You're sexiest pregnant lady I've ever seen. Like your hair looks amazing, your glowing and also God I wish I could have my way with you right now." He whispers in my ear. He kisses me passionately.

"Joonas I'm sorry. I know I ruined everything for you and the band. This band is too much. I went to the UK because I didn't want to burden you!" I whisper sighing.

"Are you serious right now? Look Mira as I said before I fucking love you! Don't you dare blame yourself! It was my fault that my dumbass didn't pull out before I came in and didn't wear protection." Joonas says while we leaned against his headboard of the bed.

"But..." I said and Joonas put his finger to lip signalling to be quiet.

"No buts or ifs. You're pregnant and you're having a baby! So let's just enjoy this journey. Yes I admit I'm fucking scared. But I have the most beautiful woman by my side." Joonas says. We heard Joel walk into our room.

"I need to speak to you two about something?" The tall blonde haired vocalist says and I beckon him to come in.

"I well... want to ask Aleksi to marry me. Should I?" Joel asks.

"Wait...what?! Joel that's so beautiful! Oh God I'm going to cry." I said.

Joel, I and Joonas were all laying on the bed together talking.

"When are you purposing?" Joonas asks.

"What if he says no?" Joel asks me, his hand accidentally touching my bump.

"No he won't because he loves you!" I said with a smile. I turned on my side to face Joel.

"You think so?" He asks me with a smile.

"Oh trust me Joel I know. Besides a Joelski wedding will be fun to plan!" I said with a laugh.

"Well I was thinking about maybe proposing after you have your baby." Joel says being careful not to hit my stomach. Watching the bump.

"For goodness Hokka the bump doesn't bite." I whisper with a laugh, we looked over and Joonas was snoring.

"Are you sure he's ready for this Joel? I'm sorry for ruining everything for you guys." I whisper and Joel pulls me close and let's me snuggle in his chest.

"It's alright Mira! We're a family and we can help you. Listen I was wondering, I know Niko is a Godfarher but can I Aleksi and I be the Godfathers too?"  Joel asks me and I nodded.

"Of course Hokka." I said with a smile.

"Can I touch your belly? I've never felt a pregnant woman's stomach before?" Joel asks with his blue eyes looking at me.

I chuckled, I took his hand and placed it on my stomach.

"There's the little one in there. Hey little one this is your uncle Joel! I'm looking forward to meeting you." Joel says.

"Joel you got no right to be this cute! Aleksi will be jealous if he saw you." I said with a laugh.

"Oh please you've cuddled with us before! Besides you know I love you like a little sister." Joel says and I laughed.

"I love you too big brother!" I said with a smile.

"Hokka you better not be hitting on my girlfriend or I'll whoop your ass and tell Little man!" Joonas says.

"Jesus chill Porko!" We both said at the same time. The three of us started laughing. While we cuddled up together and slept.
