(29) A Surprise

I was standing in the middle guest room, sighing I was going to be a father. This was going to be fucking hell. But was I ready? Not really... but you see I had to be. Niko and I stood in the room together, the lilac paint was on the ground.

"Alright Porko, the more we stare at the paint it will not paint itself. So let's get to work." The brown-haired vocalist said, he threw his hair up in a bun and began taping the walls with blue tape, I sighed.

"You know Niko I always viewed you as the fatherly type." I said to my brown-haired friend who just chuckled, while I helped him with the taping of the walls, we laid some white cloth stuff so we didn't stain the floor.

"Honestly I view myself as a lot of stuff, but the only thing I did not see myself doing was falling for a pregnant woman. But I guess the past is the past now. I am the Godfather and I should be happy with that." I said.

We enlisted the rest of the guys Joel, Olli and Tommi to buy some toys and white shelves for the room, I wanted to get this done for Miranda, so she wouldn't have to be too stressed out and we wanted to surprise her.

"You know Niko if you want you can take the place." I tell my friend and he laughs.

"Sadly I cannot Porko, that is your child and I cannot because she chose you." Niko says, while we both got silent and started painting the room. The vocalist's face was focused but he was deep in thought, but he finished his side and move to another corner. While I got to work also. In no time, the room was painted.

"Hey man would you like a beer?" I asked the vocalist and he nods, we headed to my balcony which overlooked Oulu, I was smoking and drinking a beer. Even Niko joined in for a cigarette.

"Are you nervous about becoming a father?" Niko asks me.

"Seriously Niko, can you imagine me running after a child? Changing a nappy and stuff. I was the fun one, where did I go wrong?" I asked him putting my head in my hands.

"Well it went with being irresponsible Joonas, but you're lucky though. You have a girl who loves you and would do anything for you. She actually was thinking about having an abortion if it made you happy, but she was so distraught when you broke up with her. I watched her cry. " Niko says with a sigh, letting out a puff of smoke while taking a sip of his beer.

"I know this might be a stupid question, but are you in love with her Niko?" I asked my friend and he sighs.

"Why does any of that matter now? She chose you and even if I did, it's not like I can act on that because I can't betray my best friend. Now can I?" Niko says with a sigh and puts out the cigarette in the ashtray.

"I know you wouldn't. But is that why you chose to be the Godfather of our child." I said to the brown-haired vocalist.

"Look in my heart, I care for her deeply. But she asked me man if something were to happen to her that I take responsibility. Plus I thought she was miscarrying and the baby was quickening or kicking. I couldn't say no to her. She has been through enough stress." Niko simply says, while untying his hair and putting his hair up in a bun.

"Thank you I truly appreciate it. Well, you're still in a three-way relationship with us." I said while sipping my beer.

"Oh shut up Porko! I'm not cuddling you anytime soon." Niko says with a laugh. "But I'll definitely cuddle Miranda though." He says with a laugh. The fact that we were joking about this was great.

We saw Joel and Olli rushing in.

"So what's up?" I asked the tall blonde haired vocalist and the sandy-haired bassist.
