"Not a single word, brother. I'm not in the mood for your shit." Rindou hissed as soon as he caught a glimpse of his brother. "You're wasting your time on a girl who's about to die. Ditch her already!" Ran retaliated, obviously annoyed with the stubbornness of his younger brother.

"Well I'm sorry, I'm not like you." Rindou replied with an icy glare. Purple hues bore into each other before Hanma decided to butt in. "Okay that's enough you two. Ran, just let your brother be. And you, Rindou, don't let this relationship of your hinder your work. You have clients to attend to back in Roppongi. Why don't you go home first? Toman's got Hana covered." Hanma reasoned out.

Rindou massaged his tired eyes in frustration before leaving his brother and Hanma behind. As soon as he boarded the train, he closed his eyes to catch up on sleep. The entire night at the hospital was hard for everyone. They all hardly slept, but Hana slept soundly with an uneasy expression on her face.

"At this point, there's nothing more that we could do. Even if we start treatment right away, it's no use. It'll be like throwing money away. I'm sorry, but I'm against it if you still plan to have her treated. Treatment is a big hassle and it will also be hard and painful for her. If you want her to be happy with the remaining time she has, let her be free."

Mirai broke down for the nth time as she listened to the doctor's explanation. Rindou faced the doctor with so much anger written all over his face. "Have her tested again! You guys might be wrong with this diagnosis!" He retorted. He didn't want to give it up. In no way was he going to give her up.

"We ran the tests multiple times already, sir. The results are still the same. We prescribed her medication to help with the head aches. Her memory may or may not return from time to time. Setting the tumor aside, she's perfectly healthy. She can be discharged tomorrow." The doctor politely nodded and bowed before leaving the room.

If anything, Rindou was the most torn out of all of them. Even though they met each other less than two months ago, they've undoubtedly marked themselves in each other's lives. They played a special role. But now her special role has faded. In a blink of an eye, Rindou's existence was fully wiped away from her mind. All those moments they shared, the memories they created, the words and promises they've embedded in their hearts —all gone.

[Attention all passengers. We have now arrived at the station of Roppongi. I repeat, we have now arrived at Roppongi.]

His ears perked up as the announcement echoed throughout the metal vehicle. He stood up and walked straight out, the passengers making way for him. Everyone in Roppongi knew about him and Ran. They were treated like celebrities. Girls fawned over the tired male but he gave no fucks. He was neither interested nor did he have the energy to even notice them.

As soon as he entered their home, he plopped down on the couch, letting his drained body sink into the soft cushion of the sofa. He wanted to catch up on sleep. But every time he closed his amethyst orbs, the image of her lost and broken face kept on reappearing in his mind. Every time he covered his face with a pillow and his ears with his hands, her cries echoed all throughout his system.

Unknowingly, droplets of tears fell from the corner of his eyes. "Why won't they fucking stop.." He asked as he continuously wiped the stream of tears that seemed to be unending. With quivering hands, he covered his face.

He hated the feeling.

The feeling of being forgotten, left alone. It was the same feeling when his mother left and their father abandoned them. It stung. He felt like a helpless child. Eventually, the tears weighed on his eyes, and he soon fell asleep.

A ring of their doorbell woke him up. With half-opened eyes and a disoriented mind, he walked half-mindedly towards the door.

"Uhm.. Rindou, right?"

His eyes lit up at the calm and serene tone of her voice. Without hesitation, he hugged her. A tight hug. He didn't want to let go. To him, it felt as if she would slip away if he lightened his grip even just a tad bit. With terrified hands, he touched her face and kissed her on the forehead. Violet orbs pierced into bare, hazel ones.

"Do you remember me now?" He asked, trying not to sound too hopeful. Yes. He was so eager to hear the word 'yes' slip off of her delicate lips.

"Not yet.." She answered, a pang of guilt shot through her as she watched his excitement die down. "I'm sorry." She apologized to the stranger who was actually her boyfriend. "It's fine. We'll get there." He replied with a small smile. A smile that masked a thousand gallons of tears and an unmeasurable amount of pain.

"What did you come here for? Did you want to say something?" Rindou asked as he led her inside. She fidgeted with her dainty fingers as she scanned their surroundings.

"I want to remember you. That's why I'm here." She answered nonchalantly. A tiny wave of happiness washed over him as he watched her beautiful eyes wander all around the living room.

"She said that I'll get my memories back if I spend all my time with you. So that's the plan." She beamed, giving him a cheeky smile. A small smile tugged on the side of his lip as her smile lit up the dim room, his dark life.

"You down for sushi?" Rindou asked. Her eyes gleamed with excitement upon hearing his suggestion. "Right! She mentioned sushi too!" She hollered, grabbing his arm and pulling him out. "Sushi~" She chanted as they walked hand in hand towards the shop where they first ate together.

But something was bothering him in the back of his mind. Who's 'she'?
