Hana pretended to be asleep for the whole day. It was such a pain in the ass to keep her eyes shut when all she wanted to do was cry. She patiently waited for the perfect opportunity to leave the Akashi's apartment.

"Yo, Benkei. Come with me outside, I'll buy food." Takeomi asked, wearing a coat over his clothes. "Why do I have to go too?! Besides, we can't leave Hana alone." Benkei insisted, taking a quick glance at Hana who was still pretending to sleep.

"Haru's here so don't worry about it." Takeomi shrugged, throwing Benkei a jacket. "But Haruchiyo's sleeping too, you idiot." Benkei sneered, nonetheless still wearing the jacket. "We have double locks so shut the fuck up." The scar-faced man hissed, making Benkei stifle a laugh.

Waiting a good few minutes after they left, Hana stood up and stretched her limbs. Before leaving, she grabbed the apple sitting on the middle of the table. Just as she was about to take a bite, the door to Sanzu's room swung open, revealing him topless and wearing pajama pants.

They stared each other for a few seconds before Sanzu decided to shrug it off and walk over to the fridge to grab something to eat.

"So.. how did your 'pretend sleep' go? Did you have a sweet dream?" Sanzu initiated, earning a scoff from the latter.

"You knew I was pretending to sleep?! Why did-- oh my fuck. Did you tell them about dismissal thing on purpose? Because you... you knew I was awake?" Hana asked as her fingers trembled shut. Sanzu just continued to stare at her while trying to swallow the marshmallows that he generously stuffed in his scarred mouth.

"I'm not the nicest guy in the world, but I'm not that of a devil. You had every right to know. Even if they were hiding it, you were bound to know about it at some point." He managed to say before choking on his food. Hana was quick to pour him a glass of water, sliding it over the counter.

"Thanks, Haru." She said with a faint smile before grabbing her phone to open it. Hundreds of unread messages and missed calls flooded her notification drawer. "I'm gonna leave now, Haru. I'll probably just stay in a hotel somewhere for the meantime. I'll send you the address so that you and Senju can pay me a visit." She added before throwing the apple core onto the compost bin.

"If ever I do visit you, I most certainly will not bring Senju." He huffed, stuffing his mouth with another marshmallow. Hana smiled to herself as she thought about the good old days when Sanzu and Senju would argue nonstop to the point that they could kill each other.

With only her phone and her wallet, she set out and left the Akashi residence; taking a taxi to go back home and grab some clothes.

"You can drop me off here, sir. Thank you!" She beamed, placing her payment on the driver's middle compartment. As she exited the car, she was immediately greeted by their fenced backyard. She purposely asked the driver to drop her behind their house to avoid bumping into anyone she knew.

Behind a bush, she grabbed the tiny log that she used to cross the fence with every time she would come home past her curfew. Stepping on the small piece of wood, she climbed over the fence, landing soundlessly on the freshly cut grass. If her calculations were on point, her mom would be at her main office right now, so the house must be empty.
