It seemed funny to him how even the weather had mixed feelings. The sun was peeking through the thick clouds that showered mists of rain. Rindou chuckled as he felt both the warm rays of sun and the tiny droplets of rain on his face.

"Is it sunny or rainy? Pick a side, dammit." he sighed, continuing to trudge along the path of grassy fields. Occasionally, he'd step on fallen leaves, the sound of crunching reminding him of the happy times he had as a child— when everything hasn't gone to shit.

Engulfed in silence, complimented by the humming breeze and the sound of little birds singing, it was serenity at its finest. At least, that was what he had hoped.

"Hey," he called out as he gazed upon the person he came for. "How's the weather up there?" he asked, a small smile plastered on his face as he sat down, caressing the cold stone that was decorated with patches of moss.

"Ah~ it's been a while, no?" he whispered, eyes not leaving the tomb that stood high. He closed his eyes, offering a prayer, but the pain of yesterday suddenly started making its way inside of his system.

Unbeknownst to him, bottled tears made their way out. "You're so unfair, do you know that?" he bit his lip, trying to muffle the sobs that he didn't want anyone to hear. "You leaving me is so not fucking cool."

A strong gush of wind blew past him, like someone was scolding him— like she was there. "Fine. I'm sorry I cursed." he muttered, playfully rolling his eyes as he imagined her figure just standing there with her arms crossed together and brows up.

"No, but seriously, I hate that you left. You promised that you'll always be here. You said I never had to be afraid because I had you. But where did you go?" the pain that broken promises caused started to course through every vein in his body. Purple irises trembled as he remembered all the shit he had to go through.

"I told myself that I'd never need you again since you left me, but now I need you." he whispered, standing up from the ground as he wiped the tears off of his face.

"Please make her wake up." he asked. Never did he think that he'll cross fingers in his entire life, but here he was— eyes closed, fingers crossed, like a little boy under a sky full of shooting stars.

As if on cue, another breeze flew past him. But this time, it was far from chilly. The warm breeze felt like a much needed embrace, and he really did need it.

"I'll come back soon, and I promise I'll bring her here." he whispered, extending his pinky finger out, imagining the feeling of another pinky intertwining with his. "Aside from you, she's the best woman I've ever met in this hell of a life. You'll love her, Ma." he grinned, thinking of how his mother would react upon seeing his favorite person.

"I'll tell aniki to come visit you some time. See you." he hummed, his fingers running through the letters etched on the stone.
