as soon as the words left his mouth, the charisma was gone and replaced with a defeated expression as he reached out to switch off his camera.
sat in his office in his and jj's shared apartment, simon had just finished his two sidemen reacts recordings for the day.
"right, good session lads, i'll see you in a bit." said ethan, quickly hopping off the call as he was late to meet up with his girlfriend.
"bye ethan." josh answered, but was cut off just as he left. "okay then, way to leave me hanging."
simon was still silent, looking at another monitor and trying to seem oblivious to what just happened so he didn't have to have a conversation with josh.
it was nothing personal, he just wasn't in the best of moods for talking to anyone at the moment and was happier to be left alone, lost in his own thoughts.
"you okay simon? you've been kinda quiet today you know."
simon didn't understand how he did it, but josh always seemed to notice when he felt down and was always the first to question him about it.
he tried to think up an excuse, he could just use the same old 'didn't sleep well' trick but after using it for the last few weeks or so it was getting old now.
"i'm fine josh, really, just stuck in my head a little bit, you know how it is." he eventually replied followed by a rather large sigh.
"wanna talk about it before i go? i've got some time."
simon contemplated his offer, but decided discord wasn't really the place and politely declined.
"uhh, no don't worry, it's nothing important, i don't wanna waste your time on this."
"ok, i won't push you but i'm still here if you need yeah?"
"yeah, i know. anyway, i have to go now, talia will be here soon but i'll catch you in a bit." he decided to swiftly make his exit, avoiding this dreaded conversation for as long as possible.
"see ya simon."
speaking of talia, simon's stomach dropped at the thought of telling her.
telling her the secret that would lead to a horrible breakup, to a whole online drama, to people demanding answers from him as to why.
however, he wouldn't be able to be properly happy if he didn't tell her, and wasn't going to string talia along for any longer than he already had even though they were coming up to nearly 4 years of being together.
