a/n // so vik's engaged and randolph is having a baby, what is happening... merry christmas everyone! this is kind of a filler-type chapter that is christmassy themed, have it as a present from me to you

"is that everything then josh?"
it was the late hours of christmas eve, and the couple were running round the house for all the presents that had been wrapped previously and hidden away out of reach.
"yeah, i think so, we've just got to get the stockings done and then we should be good for the morning."
they were carefully placing the gifts under the tree, putting the bigger ones at the back and the smaller ones at the front, simon being the perfectionist that he is.
josh had left him in charge of decorating this year as every single time previously he'd tried to help, simon had just ended up correcting and moving things around to where he wanted them to be. so realistically, josh didn't actually do anything to help.
that, and the fact simon's long arms gave him a big advantage to putting up the lights and reaching the top of the tree. but he didn't mind, he did an excellent job at it.
they quietly placed a glass of milk and a plate of cookies by the fireplace, not before taking a bite and a large sip each (to which they both screwed their faces at the plain milk).
once they were happy, they turned off the lights, double checked the doors were locked and headed upstairs, hooking the stockings onto the bedroom doors and brushing their teeth.
they undressed, got into their pyjamas and then snuggled themselves under the covers before kissing each other and hugging goodnight, excitement for the day to follow.

simon woke the next morning to a sudden jolt in his stomach, two giggles following his groan of pain.
he opened his eyes to find josh smiling next to him, laughing lightly at the sight in front of him.
