wedding days were usually a big deal, but none were a bigger deal than the wedding of ksi himself.

the man had too much money for most people to even wrap their heads around, and what a better way to spend it than on the most boujee wedding ceremony he could.

within just 6 months of a proposal and the day arrived in the middle of a wonderfully warm heatwave, an enourmous mansion was the venue with a luscious garden that stretched for acres.

if anyone was going to go overboard it would be jj, but despite this the day was beautiful. the groom was suited in a cream tuxedo with black dress pants and a complementary purple boutonnière on the pocket, a running theme for the ceremony.

he chose simon to be his best man, dressed stylishly in a black tux and tie, although he'd been promised he wouldn't have to give a speech after he'd complained so much over the stress of the other time he'd done it.

the wedding itself was held in an accompanying hall to the premises, towering walls and windows that let the sunlight illuminate the room with a glow.

hundreds of guests watched, everyone so happy to see jj finally ready to settle down with the girl he loved and their feelings were reflected in the smiles of the photographs taken outside in the garden.

there was a large lake with a wooden pier petruding over the water, a popular photo place, with the sun reflecting brightly and reeds swaying gently in the non-existent breeze.

blue skies and shrubbery were an amazing backdrop, the views leaving everyone in awe before the afterparty began sometime after 6pm - food and speeches over with, the drinks began flowing as the free bar opened for business and the dance floor became overwhelmed by movements of feet.

humidity from the temperatures of the previous hours meant the gardens were filled with people too, and getting a tiny bit tipsy after a couple of small drinks simon wandered his way towards the lake to watch the sunset.

the glorious reds and oranges shone off his face, smiling at the happiness his friend had found and the amazing day he'd been looking forward to for a long while now.

the pier was a fair few feet above the water, so simon sat down at the edge next to the ladder and kicked his legs back and forth as he got lost in his own thoughts.

he could only dream of a relationship like that of jj's - no one being able to yet sweep him off his feet left him feeling a little bleak sometimes, but he tried not to let himself dwell on it too much.

although easier in this day and age than ever before, dating as a gay man did come with its difficulties compared to straight couples who could freely date whoever came along.
