As a kid he was very protective of you. At least the RZ version of him was, I'm not sure about the original since very little is known about him, in the comic I can assume that as a kid he was also quiet with every and you were no exception but he always looked to you if he needed that comfort since at the very least it was implied that his sister focused on her boyfriend rather then him (since I assume she was meant to babysit him while his parents were gone but instead she was making out with her boyfriend and she just brushed it off when she realised that she didn't know where Michael was)
his RZ version would probably be easier to have a friendship/relationship with since in the original as long as you didn't get in his way of killing Laurie/Jamie he would just leave you alone, maybe if he bumped into you and recognised you he would just stare at you. Meanwhile, in the RZ similar to Laurie he would try to get you to remember him in hopes of rebuilding whatever you two had.
Fyi both Michaels are shit at comfort. *awkward pat on the back* there there.
He's actually very touch starved and although it takes a little while, when he does get used to the affection, he'll want a evening cuddle on the couch every day.
After everything that happened hiding Michaels face became his coping mechanism and the only thing that made him comfortable, that being said it's going to take a couple of months before the mask comes of.

RZ Michael has more depth and emotion in his character hence why people prefer writing about him more. That being said this Michael will actually show emotion in the relationship and be there when you need it.

That being said when you have to leave for food or school or college or uni or what ever, he's scared your gonna leave him so he'll stalk you throught the day and also anyone that let's within a 3 mile radius of you he will automatically not trust them and keep and eye on them cause he thinks they have ulterior motives with you (or are planning to hurt you)
He does care about you it's just that he has a hard time showing it. That being said if someone is harassing/bullying you then the last time you hear from them is on the news. He'll also take you to bed if you has a long day and passed out on the couch. He'll always deny he ever done those things if you question him about it though
