Because his luck cycle has killed many people close to him, when he realised his feelings or/and realised you liked him he'd push you away or tried to make you dislike (or in his words "see him for the trash he is") so you won't be affected by his luck cycle.
But at the same time he doesn't want to die alone and he loves you so with the right reassurance you might convince him to be in a relationship with you.

The thing that would make him fall for you is if you have alot of hope. You know like how during the sexy soap scene he was talking about hope and he blushed at Izuru who is the ultimate hope.
He's attracted to hope.

He would be awkward at first with affection and love as its new to home but eventually he'll get used to it and he would really love want affection because he's touch starved but at the same time he thinks he doesn't deserve it.
He'll eventually accept it and love it.

Back when it mentioned a dog. When you asked him he was over joyed but at the same time scared because of how his last dog ended up. Eventually he'll ease into the idea but he'll take him a bit.

I'm stuck in between if he wouldn't call you a pet name because he thinks he doesn't deserve it or of he'd call you nicknames like "darling".
Probably both at the same time.

He's rich so he'd spoil you with flowers (unless if you're allergic). And he's the type of guy to give you flowers even if he's allergic. Or he'd get a private Yacht or a holiday to Oikawa or something. He'd spoil you A LOT, like every chance he gets.

I think he'd cup your face often when he kisses you, just because I can see him doing that. I also think he'd cup your face and give you Eskimo kisses

I think Nagito would like deep conversations of various interests (hope), vents, conspiracy theories, anything that gets you both closer together. His insomnia makes these mostly happen late at might.
Fun fact: people will be more honest and open when tired.

Nagito is a listener as well as a talker so it would probably be the same for you. Although he rambles a lot, when you talk about something he will keep quiet and listen to your every word. And it would be important to him if you listened to his rambling.

He's cold all the time so you often hug him and although he doesn't get any warmer he appreciates the thought and it means a lot to him.

He tends to treat you like glass when he touches you or be on guard or on edge as he's afraid he'll hurt you or his luck will somehow.
At the same time if you two hugged or cuddled he'd hold onto you tightly for dear life because he's scared at anytime you'll die or he'll die because of his illnesses.

Speaking of cuddling, he's the little spoon and will bury himself in your neck. When you both cuddle and bury into you it's one of the few times he feels the both of you are safe.

Apparently he has sensitive skin so kissing him, hugging him, etc might be a little harder. But by senstive I don't know if it means his sense of touch is heightened or if it makes him feel pain.
