100% a yandere. He's a more manipulative yandere but he doesn't manipulate you (kind of). In the game Jackson (computer crash dude) is convinced that you and Josiah are buddies yet there is a option to be rude to Josiah.
It shows that Josiah puts thoughts into other people's heads that effect their thoughts and opinions on you (and him) which benefit him in the long run
He's also on the obsessive side, any man that has loop powers and uses it to kill anyone who bothers you is obsessed over you. But obviously since at the start he is more chill and a slacker (which isn't really a facade it's just that he bottles up his obsession) nobody suspects anything, not even you.
If anyone messes with you regardless of how then they're dead.
He can use the loop to benefit him in alot of ways and he will. For example, from God knows how many loops he knows your schedule and he knows where you are at all times which he likes, he prefers to know where you are. And it helps him get away with murder better, he can just loop over and over again until he finds something to distract you long enough so you don't walk in on him cleaning the mess.
He's also the type of Yandere that plans ahead, it's implied that he was just gonna clean the bloody mess and although it isn't said there are hints that he might of caused all the strange accurences like Gary not answering the door. He plans everything ahead of time and he is smarter then he looks so he gets away with it too.
I should stop talking about how yandere he is. When it's just you two he's actually pretty chill.
At least compared to other fictional yandere's he's pretty chill. He doesn't seem to be delusional, impulsive or extremely psychotic. When you saw him murder be was completely chill about it instead of screaming his declaration of love to you. He's aware that what he's doing is wrong and you'd hate him if you found out its just that he doesn't care and he doesn't plan for you to find out anyway.
One time tried to make a monster energy gun and failed, or at least he thought about having on but can't be bothered to make one.
There is a 00.001% chance of seeing him outside.
His animal crossing land is chaos
He can't cook. He tried to make scrambled egg using a microwave and he found a way to burn the yolk.
He doesn't let you out of his sight. Call him overprotectiveness or sweet but he's not going to let you out of his sight
He would defend you if someone was to backlash you but he'll do it once your back is turned (don't ask where the blood came from)
He one time caught you crying and he didn't know how to cheer you up so he gave you his gameboy.
He calls you mommy/daddy as a joke to fluster you
He's fell asleep on your lap and now calls your thighs cushions
He's asked you to crush him in between your thighs before
He keeps you away from various workers which is understandable. One dude eats dog food because his boss said to, another dude has been in a pain in your ass.
He is a jealous and obsessed dude but he doesn't show it. Even if he is more laid back and lazy he will still kill anyone that bothers or flirts with you.
