The Y/N in this does witchcraft.
Just know Witchcraft is not 'I'll curse you and do cult stuff'. That's stereotypical and more of the medieval view of witches.
Modern Witchcraft is different, it's things like buying different kinds of crystals  for spiritual healing (I.e Tiger eye crystals are bought to grow confidence and strength and protect you from evil spirits) or to do predictions using Tarot cards.
They're harmless. (Btw there are different forms of witchcraft I'm using pagan as my friend is pagan and I asked then questions to make this chapter (I don't do witchcraft so I had to ask to avoid misinformation))

School was hell. Especially for you.

You were the 'quiet kid', the 'schools freak' as they call it since you don't like talking to people and even you admit you are a bit of an emo, an emo as in your mismerable and unlike various people you don't hide it for popularity. Some people even think you sacrifice goats.

But nope, in reality your harmless and outside of school you enjoy your life and are the nicest person around. Key phrase: 'outside of school'. People treat you like shit so you just ignore them and treat them the same way.

One example, is Michael Afton. Kind of a heartbreaking wattpad story. You both used to be childhood friends due to your father's knowing each other but eventually as you two grew up he started leaving you for other people and began to bully you. It hurt at first but now you don't really care, plus you two were babies back then so neither of you remember much of being friends.

Due to both of your 'infamous backstory' he was definitely odd.

When you both stopped being friends it was around the start of high school but now in your senior year (last year) he was acting different. Now he 'wasn't in the mood' to harass you. And when he bothered you when it was just the two of you it seemed more like playful and less bully- like. He mostly just tried to annoy you into paying attention to him and back handed compliments. At this point you think that's his love language. Also, he started inviting himself to hang out with you via climbing through the window the way he used to when you two of you were in middle school. But he only ever did any of those things when it's just the two of you

Maybe he wanted to be your friend while keeping his bully and jock reputation and personality. You couldn't really tell.

It was oddly refreshing but you had mixed feelings, you didn't really trust him much but it was fun to hang out with him and it felt real, like he generally wanted to be your friend again.

Throughout your hanging out you learned new things about Michael. Like at heart he was secretly as much of a dork as you are as he too liked Marvel and comics just as much as you did. He also has an off fascination in your witchcraft but still and obviously idiot like most bullies are but in a none mean way now, he asked once if you secretly had a cat for you 'voodoo-ey crap' as he lightly put it.

Once you have him 'black obsidian', a crystal that is a strong psychic protective stone. You've seen him wear it as a necklace none stop ever since.

You also did tarot card reading with his siblings, them being kids they were fascinated with that stuff. Which is what lead to Michael asking for his tarot card reading.

Tarot cards a stack of cards that you pick 3 off the pile and they were tell you you're past, present and future.

Now you and Michael were sitting on opposite ends of a table as you shuffled the tarot cards in your hand.

FYI I have not memoried tarot cards as I can't. So if any of the information about certain cards is false please correct me.

One you were satisfied with your shuffle you asked the cards "what do I need to know about Michael Afton?" and used both of your hands to seperate the cards so he could pick 3, obviously they were faced down so he couldn't see them.

He chose three cards and you laid them out in front of you. You started with the one on the far left.

It was the Judgement card "this is the judgement card. This card points to freedom from inner conflict, you have buried gifts and talents and you have to trust to process in opening yourself"

Next was the middle. It was the Sun "this is the Sun. It means you need to have more confidence, throw away what people think of you and be your true self. Once you've done that you will throw away the power you give to the people that criticize you"

Next was the last one, the death card

"This mean you need the death of something like an old project or something else giving you troubles. You need to detach from an old order, close account with an incomplete task and gather your harvest so you can move on. Do not allow loyalty to hold you back"

"Is that good or bad?"

"It's advice"

That was years ago. Now Michael was an adult, rotting and burning in the pizzeria he built with sweat and tears but hated with every fiber of his being.

He wished he listened to your advice.
