Hey, ya'll! This is the newest story I'm working on. I haven't edited anything yet, so if there are mistakes... oops. Let me know what you think!

The night had not gone as planned. I was supposed to be going out and getting trashed to forget about the tiny remaining sadness I felt over my ex. It was a miniscule amount so it shouldn’t have taken much alcohol to get over it but even that didn’t happen. I shot my best friend a glare as I parked in my spot in front of the massive home I lived behind.
I noticed a motorcycle in the spot next to mine that wasn’t usually there and felt a sense of unease wash over me. I’d lived in the guest house at the back of the main house for just over six months and I’d never seen anyone else there besides the cleaners. I couldn’t imagine whoever owned the house drove a motorcycle so I was hesitant to get out of my car, just in case someone was waiting to kill me.
My imagination was as strong as ever as I forced myself to leave the car. I didn’t have time to look around for danger, however, because Anna, my drunken best friend, was already out of the car and racing towards the front of the main house.
“I can’t believe you get to look at this beautiful home every day. Let’s go in and see what it looks like on the inside!” Anna’s speech was slurred from the many shots she’d had earlier in the club.
I gritted my teeth and caught her before she could pound on the front door. “Anna. You’re making me want to kill you. Come on. Let’s go.”
I forcefully dragged her back to my house and pushed her down on the couch once I got us both inside. She was busy giggling and talking to me about the men she’d danced with at the club.
She’d definitely done more than danced with the men at the club. I’d turned my back for one second to get her a glass of water and when I came back she was missing. I’d found her fifteen minutes later in a corner of a booth on her knees in front of a real scumbag. I’d punched him and hauled her ass out of there.
“You’re going to feel really awful when you wake up, Anna. You drank so much. You need to get more water in you now so it might help a tiny bit.” I gave her a bottle of water from my fridge and went to my room to change while I listened to her carrying on.
I yanked the skimpy dress she’d talked me into wearing over my head and threw it into the corner of my room. I’d been groped and touched too many times and I was going to burn the dress if it was the last thing I did.
“I’m so hot, Carter. Do you always keep the air off? Jeez.” Anna stood up and fanned herself. “I know just what will make me feel better. A swim in that pool of yours.”
I looked up and she was already running out of the front door. I cursed colorfully and yanked on a tank top before running after her. I didn’t know what else was wandering around outside and I didn’t want her stumbling upon anyone.
“Anna! It’s not my pool! Get back here.”
