Dib POV
Over the next few weeks, things were interesting for the most part.
This world's Professor Membrane actually cares for his kids, and I admit that I was jealous before.
When he saw us, I thought he would reject the idea of alternate realities.
However, this world's Professor Membrane supported theories from his daughter and loves her. He also cares for Gaz, Debbie's brother, and he's very overprotective of his sister.
"It's a gift AND a curse," Debbie once mentioned, and I don't blame her.
Gaz would LITERALLY follow us whenever we were hanging out, and he even threatened Zimthea if he ever hurts his big sister, she'd pay.
Zimthea, knowing not to mess around, instantly agreed, and Gaz went on saying, "Have a good day." That was weird and slightly uncomfortable for the most part.
However, he never threatened Katheren or me, for which I'm grateful.
He knows Debbie's sexuality and her love for Zimthea, and nothing is ever going to change.
However, like someone once said, "All good things must come to an end."
Despite not wanting to go, both Katheren and I had no choice.
We said goodbye to them, which filled Debbie with a few set of tears, and we took off.
It was agitating, but hey, life moves on.
"Where to now?" I asked, sadly not wanting to leave.
"I told you already. I don't know. The portals decide," Katheren answered.
I 'pouted' and left this issue alone for now.
"Well, I can tell that you really like spending time over there at Debbie's world. Do you-"
"No, I'm not going to live there just because I want to. Besides, I like spending time with you more," I interrupted.
"That much? I'm honored to be liked by you," Katheren jokingly replied.
"Shut up, Mom," I muttered before realizing what I said.
"Did you just say-"
"NO, NO, NO, NO!!!" I exclaimed while waving my hands.
Fortunately for me, the portal was right in front, and we landed on the ground. This time, I landed on my feet.
"Told you that it takes practice," I heard Katheren say, and I playfully rolled my eyes.
"Whatever. Anyways-"
"HOLY SHIT!!" We heard a familiar voice, and I smirked.
"What the hell?! Okay, I knew there were other realities, but holy shit-" 'Dib' said, visibly surprised and in awe.
"Hello to you too," Katheren said, smiling.
"Hi," I said.
"Hello, I'm Dib. Well, you are too, but you can call me D for short," 'D' replied.
"Okay. Nice to meet you, D," Katheren said, smiling at D's attitude.
"I'm just overwhelmed, even astonished!" D said, stars shining in his eyes.
"We can tell," I said, closing my eyes from the bright light D's producing.
"Still, it's very nice to meet you-"
