Ruvik leaned back against the chair with is arms crossed, quietly listening to the Military Police trying to interrogate him for unnecessary reasons. Unfortunately for them, after the rough day he's had, he was not in the mood to obligate to their demands.
And the soldier's patience were getting thinner each and every time they failed to get him to talk.
"Look, we just want to understand what happened that day." One of the MP's hissed, but his words were ignored once again.
Ruvik only continued staring at the wooden table in front of him.
"This is going nowhere..."
"Damnit Bobellon, I can see that!" The MP growled at his partner. " What the hell is wrong you bastard? Did you bite your tongue when you were out there?"
His partner furrowed his brows, trying to think of a suggestion. "He could be in shock, sir..."
"C'mon Killy, this is Ruvik Ritter we're talking to here. He has so much blood on his hands it's a miracle his skin isn't red."
Before the boy, named "Killy" could respond to his superior, Ruvik beat him to it. "Maybe I just don't see a point in wasting my breath talking to an idiot like you."
The two soldiers whipped their heads towards his direction, the older one growling in irritation. "What did you say to me, prick?"
"You heard me."
Ruvik stayed seated as the soldier marched around the table, ripping him from the chair by the collar of his uniform. "You better watch it."
"And why should I?" Ruvik narrowed his eyes. "I didn't see you out there when the walls fell."
"Because I serve the king."
"Oh, so you're the fat man's pig?" He smirked. "That makes sense."
The guard hissed. "You son of a--!"
"What are you going to do? Hit me?" Ruvik scoffed. "Okay, let's see who can bash the other's teeth out first. The king's watchdog or his overgrown pig?"
"Alright, that's enough." A stern voice cut in.
Everyone's attention turned to the blond man standing by the door.
"And who the fuck are you?" The MP that was still holding Ruvik's collar up asked.
"I'm the new Commander of the Scout Regiment, Erwin Smith." The blond with rather thick eyebrows stated. "I'm here to collect one of my men."
"Oh, really? On whose orders?"
"You have no authority to keep him here. He hasn't been charged for anything, and if he were, that would put your men and the interior in quite a bind, wouldn't it?"
The MP scoffed before releasing him, shoving Ruvik away, "Whatever, just take him."
"Thank you, gentlemen. We'll be taking our leave." Erwin nodded as he guided Ruvik out of the room.

Once the two were out of the room and walking down the hallway, Ruvik huffed angrily. "What the hell are you doing here, Erwin?"
"Helping you, of course. If I didn't step in, you would've assaulted a Military Police soldier in their own territory. I thought Shadis taught you better than that."
"You're not Shadis." Ruvik growled. "You can't tell me to do shit."
"Not unless you accept my proposal."
