I wanted to change into regular clothes before going to the FDA. But I didn't.

Why?

Because I was really working on the bit about the first impression. Turns out, my luck sucked.

I drove to their headquarters in Eloise's car the next afternoon, who thankfully was kind enough to lend it to me.
Eloise is like the sweetest person on the planet, and she's a cardiothoracic surgeon.
It's sad how I didn't get the chance to fulfil my dream, but seeing her achieve hers, just makes me so proud. Even through her five years of college, I was there to help her out and she just keeps on saying that she wouldn't have survived without me.
That's not very true because she was the one who studied and did everything, I just gave her the push she needed, starting from making her planners to arranging notes and waking her up at 5:30 every morning.

When I reach the headquarters, a man hurries over to take my car keys and I get out to hand it to him. I would have parked the car myself but I think it's a part of his job, so instead I give him a broad smile. By the look on his face, it caught him off guard.
Yeah, people call me grumpy but I can be exceptionally sweet when I want to. Which is rare. Cringe. Nevermind.

A woman with a clipboard in hand leads me to the main lobby and then to a hallway, "Would you mind waiting a second? Actually, today was supposed to be a day off and then we received your call," she explains.

"I see, are they here yet?" I ask, mentally praying that they are not. I suck at the whole interacting with humans thing. Animals are more my type.

That came out wrong.

"I think yes," she finally says after peeking through one of the doors for the fourth time.
She then straightened her skirt, run her hand through her hair, tightened her bun and ushered me to follow.

On entering the room, my eyes fell upon four boys, who I immediately recognised as I had seen their pictures very recently while drafting the case.
Three of them were seated at the other side of a huge table in the middle, while the other was standing nearby, chewing his nails and looking at his watch.

On noticing my presence, they all left whatever they were doing and looked up. I walked forward to take a seat myself and well, I caught my leg on one of the chair's stands and nearly tripped, holding the table at the last moment.
So much for the first impression.

I cleared my throat, "So.....I emailed you all the details earlier today, i presume you've received it?"

The guy, i recognized as Peter, groaned, "Okay, not another who only gives those monotonous lectures."

Zander, who had been standing, smirked and directed his eyes at me, "You should wait for Zach to arrive, he is not usually late."

Wow, so my respect just went down the drain and one of them hasn't even arrived yet. Perfect.
