Ada Johnson's P. O. V

A permanent frown is etched onto my lips as I tug another strand of hair back in place once more. I nearly groan in annoyance but stop the sound from leaving me since I know my boyfriend's eyes are trained on me, already judging my actions with amusement clearly shown on his face.

"Need some help?" He questions to which I vehemently shake my head.

We both know the reason for my current mood isn't the cause of the damn earring that simply won't clasp on no matter how hard I try. Oh no. It's much more than that.

The nerves that have been fluttering in my stomach for the past two days are driving me crazy, even more so now considering the day has already come so soon.

"Babe relax. You've already met half of the people there," Greg coo's as he slowly approaches me from behind, sliding his arms around me and placing his head in the crook of my neck just as the back of the earring clicks into place and holds the damned jewellery piece in place. "Besides, Damien is the toughest man to crack and he already likes you. That's a whole deal in itself. The rest of my friends are in awe of you."

I can't help but smile softly at his words as I ponder them over briefly, turning in his arms and meeting him face to face rather than appraising him through the mirror, "That's probably because your friends are as dramatic as you are." I joke lightly, straightening his collar while doing my best to ignore the damned twisting of my stomach.

If this gets any worse I might need to run to the toilet. Let's just hope that does not happen.

Gregory scoffs while ruffling up my hair, his actions not lending him any kindness as I give him a death glare. I simply suck at doing my own hair and it took me ages to get my hair to lay in waves and down my back instead of their usual messy heap.

"Oh trust me. I'm the most dramatic out of all of them but it's true. If Damien likes you then the rest will love you. They're also a little biased already because you're my girlfriend and well if it isn't obvious I love you." He says with a smug smile while I try to maintain my glare, already melting at his sappy words.

"I love you too but you messing with my hair was not cool," I say with the pout reappearing on my lips. Greg doesn't take my words seriously one bit as he laughs and steps away, grabbing his watch that's laying on the dresser next to me and clasping it on swiftly.

"You look beautiful as always but if you mess with your makeup or jewellery or dress once more, I'll have to spank you. We'll end up late and you don't want to make a bad first impression now do you?" He taunts, knowing that'll make me more nervous than I already am, completely ignoring my dropped jaw.

Those words kick me into gear and I rush as I grab a few things here and there, standing on one leg to put my heel on while simultaneously trying to apply my lipstick.

"Okay, I'm ready. Let's go!" I demand while hightailing it to the front door, nearly breaking my neck as I run down the stairs. Gregory doesn't take any pity on me as he merely laughs it off to which I huff. I won't deny the fact that a smile threatens to make its way onto my face.

I'd like to pretend as if I was completely calm and collected the entire ride to Damien and Serena's house. A place I've never been to but eager to see since I've wondered where he lives. If it weren't for Serena, I wouldn't be surprised if I found out the man lived in a cave-like dwelling shrouded from the rest of society.

Okay, maybe I am being dramatic and he's not all that bad, not bad at all actually, just incredibly unnerving.

"The kid's will be there right?" I question a good while into our drive to which Gregory nods. I've met Elissa of course, a total cutie, but I still have yet to meet Nora's twins who are as mischievous as Nora and Alexander combined.
