C H A P T E R    E I G H T

After a long day of touring around, I can now feel my feet getting hurt but I'm happy and I enjoy his company. He's funny and his presence was so light. Hindi ko nga namamalayan na mag gagabi na.

Currently, we are heading to the Empire State Building para lang makita ang sunset dahil sabi nila, I mean ni Caleb na maganda ang sunset doon. Kaya naman pinpagod namin ang aming sarili na akyating ang hundred plus floor na meron ang building na ito.

"Are you hungry?" He asked habang nasa elevator kami.

"Mmm... Hindi pa naman. Why? Gutom ka na ba?" I looked up at him beside me and saw him looking at me as well.

"Hindi pa rin naman. Just tell me if you wanna eat, okay?" He tenderly said. I smiled at him and nodded. He smiled back before looking at the number that is constantly changing as the elevator moves up.

I don't know kung gaano kami katagal umakyat dito sa pinaka peak ng building but finally ay nandito na din kami. Nakakapagod and nakakangalay but it's worth it to see this king of view.

Indeed the sunset here was so beautiful- no scratch that, it's magnificent. My smile did not leave my face as I strolled around the place and settled kung saan sa palagay ko ang may best view.

I looked at Caleb na syang sumusunod lang sakin and did not say anything. He was looking at me with amusement.

"Pwede mo ba akong kuhanan ng picture?" I shyly asked.

"Of course." He replied kaya mas lalong lumaki ang ngiti ko. I handed him my phone para iyon ang gamitin.

As he took a picture of me ay walang tigil naman akong nagpopose. He did not say anything, he just let me do whatever pose I wanted to do.

I heard him chuckle kaya naman I stop and napatingin ako sa kanya.

"Why did you stop?" pansin nya.

"Why are you laughing?" I asked in return.

"I did not," he denied.He tried to hide his smile but failed dahil nakita ko pa rin. I glared at him.

"You're making fun of me." I pouted.

"I swear I didn't." Lumapit siya sakin and pat my head. I look up to him.

"Promise," bakit feeling ko ang childish ko ngayon. I shook the feeling and focused on him.

"Promise," he said and I saw the sincerity in his eyes. Sa pagsambit nya noon is parang he also promised something to himself because I don't know why but I can see his eyes were telling something.

"Okay," I don't know what to say kaya naman yan lang ang naisagot ko.

I smile at him bago humarap sa horizon to watch the sunset. Naramdaman kong tumabi sya sakin.

"Alam mo..." panimula ko. "I always love watching the sunset, dahil pakiramdam ko... at the end of the day there is still something beautiful happening kahit hindi gaano kaganda ang araw ko... and it signifies that there is always hope for a better tomorrow." I smiled as I watched the sun go down and the sky covered in orange and yellow.
