I dive into my bed and groan on my pillow. I can now feel the tiredness not physically but mentally. Katatapos lang ng prelim exam namin and it was very exhausting. Nakakadrain ng utak. I already anticipated that college will be difficult but I did not know na it can drain my brain like this. Or maybe I am still adjusting to the way of teaching in college because it is way more different than when I was in high school.

Out of tiredness, I fell asleep.

The next day, Saturday. I woke up because of Alicia's voice from the outside of my room.

"Babe, wake up!" She shouted while hindi tumitigil sa pagkatok. Thank goodness! I locked it last night kaya hindi sya basta basta makakapasok.

Nang tuluyan ng nagising ang diwa ko ay bumangon na ako para buksan ang pinto.

Pagbukas ay bumungad sakin ang nakasimangot na mukha ni Alicia.

"Bakit ang tagal mo buksan? At saka bakit naka-lock yan? Dati naman hindi ka naglalock ng pinto." She questioned.

"Maybe because I want to sleep without any interruption. My mind needs to rest but I think locking it is not a good idea either, it's worthless." I responded at na upo sa kama. She followed me and naupo sa couch. "And what do you need? It's still early." nakita ko kasi ang oras kanina bago ako bumangon. It was 7:00 in the morning. "At saka wala naman tayong pasok di ba? school cancelled it para makapag relax ang mga student."

Ang nakasimangot nitong mukha ay lumiwanag and ngumiti na abot hanggang mata.

"What?" I react.

"May good news ako sayo. Gema invited us sa 16th birthday party ng kapatid nya." She told me while beaming.

"What time and anong theme?"

"It is a semi-formal party at 3:00 pm ang simula ng program yet at 6:00 pm naman ang after party. And don't worry nakapag paalam na ako kay Tito at pumayag sya basta sundin lang natin ang curfew."

So, hanggang 10:pm lang kami.

"Okay."

"Thank God! Finally, we can now loosen up." She said in relief with a matching hand prayer gesture pa bago tumayo at naglakad na palabas. "Nakakastress ang mga exam grabe." komento nya na huling narinig ko bago ito tuluyang makalabas.

Nang makalabas ito ay tumayo na ako para mag-ayos dahil pupunta akong mall to buy a gift, hindi naman pwedeng pumunta na lang ako without anything. Nakakahiya naman iyon.

Pagpasok namin ni Alicia sa pagdadausan ng selebrasyon is we are greeted by people with different ages but mostly teens. There is loud music playing in the background. I can't tell what's the title of the song because I'm not familiar with it.

The place looks nice. It has a pastel color as a motif and hindi sya masakit sa mata. It looks so soft like a marshmallow.

While looking around the area we spotted Gema with... I think her sister? walking towards us.

I smiled at them and waited to go near us.

"Guys, this is my sister Jenalyn. And Jena, these are my other friends, Alicia and Grace." She introduced us to each other.

Jenalyn is the same height as her sister although we know na mas matanda si Gema. She is wearing a red off-shoulder elegant plain dress that reaches an inch above the knee.
