I was chilling with myself habang nakahiga and with music playing in the background when suddenly Alicia barged in. Napabangon ako sa gulat.
"May ginagawa ka ba or pupuntahan ngayon?" napakunoot noo ako sa tanong nya.
"Wala naman."
"Great, " she reacted. "You'll be going with me to a party." she grinned.
"Alam mo namang hindi ako mahilig dyan. I'd rather stay here and get bored than going to a party." It's the truth though.
Napanguso sya at umupo sa tabi ko.
"Please, I really need you there." She uses her paawa face.
"Since, when you need me to a party?" takang tanong ko dahil usually when she invites me to a party at tinanggihan ko ito ay hindi na sya ay hinahayaan na nya ako and go there alone.
That's why this is unusual to her.
Napaiwas sya ng tingin tila nag iisip ng sasabihin bago muling tumingin sakin.
"Ngayon?" hindi nya siguradong sagot.
"Seryoso, bakit nga?"
"Wala kasi akong kakilala doon and I'm sure na magiging busy ang nag-invite sakin. I don't wanna be a loner there. So please, come with me." she explained and give me her sweetest smile.
Napairap naman ko doon and sigh.
"Fine."
Nagliwanag namn ang mukha nya at napangiti ng malaki bago tumayo at maglakad patungo sa pinto.
"And oh, wear a dress." she said bago isara ang pinto.
"Babe, it's close." saad ko ng matanaw na may nakapaskil na close sign.
"Doesn't matter, the restaurant was reserved for the event." she retorted as she parked the car.
"Oh, okay."
Bumaba na kami sa kotse and I heard the car being locked.
"Are you sure that we are in the right place?" tanong ko habang palalapit kami.
I can see from the outside dahil sa glass wall na parang nag-aayos na ang mga staff.
"I think we're already late, naglilikom na yata sila, or maybe we are at the wrong address? Have you double-checked?" I looked at her.
She gave me a smile.
"Ano ka ba! Hindi sila naglilikom, they're setting up for the party." Nangunot naman ang noo ko at tinitigan maiigi ang nangyayari sa loob.
She's right. I saw a guy plugging the speaker. If ngayon lang sila nagseset-up which means...
"We're too early for the party," marahas akong napalingon ulit sa kanya.
"Apparently, yes..." she said and grinned. "or no."
"What do you mean?" I frowned. "And what are you doing with that cloth?" tanong ko ng maglabas sya ng mahabang tela.
She didn't say anything but grin. Nagtungo sya sa likuran ko at haharap na sana ako sa kanya ng biglang mandilim ang paningin ko.
"This is the use of this cloth, Babe." She whispers.
"What is this? What are you planning to do? Why are you blindfolding me?"
Napagawak na man ako sa may mata ko at was about to remove the thing that's covering my eyes but she slapped my hands.
