Chapter 27

Jungkook knew it couldn't have been that easy. All the signs were there but he ignored them like an idiot. He ignored them because he was too anxious. Too eager to complete the mission and get out of here. To take them out to safety when this mission was because of him. And now because of that carelessness they can get hurt or even worse die. They have to get out now or-

Jungkook felt a hand on his shoulder and he flinched but settled when he realised whose it was.

"Where did you go Kook~ah ?" Namjoon asked, "Don't get lost in your own head. This, none of this is your fault do you understand me ? We all decided to come on this mission and you may be a part of the reason of us coming here but eliminating him is important and we would have gone even if it was someone else though not with that much trust. Okay ?"

Jungkook nodded trying not to cry. He looked at others and saw reassuring smiles. Heart finally feeling light he slipped into his mindset.

"For now we have no choice. Let's go out. Standing here won't give us any solution. He probably has us surrounded anyway." Namjoon said getting up and walking towards them with Jungkook.

"But Joon, without a plan we'll just be walking towards our death. Baekhyun is a sly man. How does he even know about us I have no idea." Yoongi said looking worriedly at Namjoon.

Namjoon came and held his hand.

"Do you trust me hyung ?"

"With my life." Yoongi said immediately with no hesitation. Namjoon smiled and looked at others. The others nodded. He nodded back and turned back.

"Let's go."

Everyone nodded and squeezed each other's hand. With a determined look they stepped around the corner. Immediately all the guns were pointed at them. There were at least 100 soldiers there and surrounded between them was him. Byun Baekhyun.
The said man was nothing special but knowing what he can do made him intimidating enough.

They all shuffled ahead and stood before him surrounded by his soldiers.

"Ah look who we have here. The esteemed Bangtan aka BTS." He said with a sneer. " I've been waiting for you, you know. My people stationed in the village thought that you looked healthy enough to not be from here no matter how battered you looked. Although no one said anything, one of them came and informed me anyway and thank god he did. Otherwise I couldn't have welcomed you." He said with a manic grin.

"He's definitely not right in his right mind." Everyone thought.

"Stop this madness Baekhyun and you may just be spared from being killed." J-hope said.

Barkhyn looked at him, smiled and said, "why should I ? This is the revenge of a lifetime. For him. For such a great man."

"The man you're talking about is a despicable piece of shit and nothing more. Do you even know how many innocents lost their lives because of him ? How much havoc he created ? It was a relief when he was captured." Jimin said.

Baekhyun's expression changed immediately and the soldiers surrounding them shivered.

Jungkook knew Jimin was provoking him. Knew he wanted to make Baekhyun lose his temper but that didn't lessen the ice cold fear griping him. One wrong move and they'll be finished here. Even though they were talented they won't be able to escape these many bullets. Looking at Taehyung beside him he could see he had the same thoughts.

"SHUT UP ! What do you know of him ? Nothing."

"I know that he's a coward who didn't dare to come out in the open and went behind everyone's back."
Jimin bit back.

"I should end you here but I have more important task then killing a bunch of nobody's" Baekhyun sneered while looking at them. He had to figure out who had the book. He knew they wouldn't tell him even if he beat them up.

Just as he was sizing them up his eyes landed at someone. He knew Bangtan had just 6 members so who was this seventh ? He took the gun out and started moving towards him. He knew it was the right decision the minute he saw how everyone twitched as if coming towards that man. Interesting.

Jungkook knew he would be noticed sooner or later. After all he wasn't officially made known to the public as a member of BTS.

Baekhyun started circling him looking at him like a new toy to play with. From the corner of his eyes he could see all of them tensing the nearer he came.

He came closer and tapped the nozzle of the gun under his chin and tipped his head up.

"Such a pretty thing. I guess that's why you're with them huh. Guess what, if you come with me I'll let the others go."

Jungkook felt filthy being seen by those eyes and talked to like nothing but a plaything. He wanted to punch the bastard on the face but he knew that would result in something much more dangerous.

He could see Yoongi hyung and Jin hyung coming towards him with a murderous expression aiming to tear him away but he stopped them with his hand. Them coming now won't help anything.

Jungkook glared. "In your dreams."

Beakhyun suddenly held him in a chokehold and slowly brought the gun to Jungkook's forehead. Jungkook could see the others trembling with the need to come and take him away but right now they didn't have that option.

"Well I would love to play with you all but I don't have much time. Give me the book or I'll kill him right now."

"Baekhyun let him go. Right. Now." Namjoon said with barely concealed rage.

"Or what ? You'll kill me ? How ?" Beakhyun laughed knowing he had the upper hand. He hit Jungkook's forehead with the gun.

Jungkook groaned with pain. That fucker. He's provoking them. Jungkook can feel the trickle of blood flowing down to his neck. He felt lightheaded and the members figures were blurry but he could see the rage. The ferocious all consuming rage.

Suddenly blasts were heard throughout the perimeter. Among the confusion Taehyung snatched Jungkook away. Jungkook was putting most of his body weight on Taehyung which was a testament to how badly he was hurting. The other members immediately surrounded him.

Jin took Jungkook in his arms. He whimpered from being jostled but settled down after Jin settled him in his arms.

When Baekhyun got his bearings back his eyes immediately found Namjoon's and he fell back. Because standing in front of him was not a human but a monster. 6 monsters who were looking at him like they would devour him.  Like they came straight from hell all the way to this realm just to punish him.
Now he understood why they were untouchable.
Why they were called Bangtan.

"You didn't think we would come here without a back up plan would you ?" Namjoon said with a shark like smile.
