We were now an hour out of town driving to a place where we could ‘space jump’, as i would call it, to the UCCSO. Long acronym.

“So whose Arlo? You made a boyfriend at a correctional facility? That's low.” Dernor questioned, referring to when i brought him up earlier.

“What? No. He's my best friend, well, maybe not anymore. Anyways he went missing, no one has seen him anywhere. I'm really worried.” I corrected.

“You really care for him don't you?” he interrogates, looking at me when we stop at a red light.

“I mean yeah, we can't really be without each other. That's what got us here in the first place.” i answer truthfully.

“Oh no, you don't like him, you love him.” Terence exposes.

“What? No i don't?” i decline.

I honestly didt know if i did. Love is a very serious word and expression. Yeah I loved him as a best friend. But i didn't know if i love love him.

“Don't be ridiculous, sweetheart. Only love can make you that crazy.” he explains.

We finally arrived at a field filled with dead yellow grass and trees about 4 miles away. No cell tower, no body of water, no source of communication. Starting to feel like i was just drugged.

"Why are we here? Couldn't we have just space jumped in the car?" I asked

“There are enemies everywhere.” he just explained nonchalantly.

He grabbed my hand and pulled his sleeve up to show his watch. He opened his gadget and got ready to press the evaporation button.

“You ready?” he asks me, turning to face me.

I huff out a shaky breath, “Sure.”

“Okay, let's save the world.” he says, giving me a shaky breath as well.

I closed my eyes and readied myself for what was about to happen. I could tell we were both scared, Terence and I. He's probably scared that the time capsule would be broken by now but i was self-doubting myself not just about if i could do it or not but if this is actually happening. I mean this is only something that happens in movies, not real life.

I heard the distinct chatter again, the same kind i heard when i first went to UCCSO. I opened my eyes and let them adjust to the bright red and white lights. The red lights were still flickering in the room with the supposed broken time capsule.

“Here we are, Olivia.” Dernor said comfortingly. I think he knew i was scared because when he let go of my hand, he placed it on my shoulders and rubbed his thumb in a circular motion.

He actually let me look around and when i walked, i headed straight towards the red lights. When i looked through the window, i seen four workers trying to fix up the capsule.

It looked like a pretty complicated system but easy at the same time. My hopes went up a little from that. There was some sort of gas coming out of it from the side that i don't think anyone noticed.

"This is what you're going to fix." Terence explained, walking up behind me.

"What about the gas coming out? If it's not that strong, maybe we can use some intergalactical tape!" I planned, trying to sound sophisticated.

"Uh, we have regular duct tape. But, good idea! It should work." He corrected me.

He went to go find the tape and I followed, leaving the workers to try and hold it off for me. We walked around the place for a quick second. I basically saw everything I could. From offices to time checkers, danger measures, tool and weapons area, a whole portal room to transport you to any galaxy imaginable, even a massive room where they keep their gadgets, like the one Terence was wearing. I basically got a whole tour.

Once we got to his office, he started rummaging around, looking for the tape.

"Where is this stupid tape come on." He muttered to himself.

I wanted to be of help so I looked around, not moving, but just observing. There were a lot of things in his office but I finally saw it at the top of a pile of paper right next to him. How did he even get a job here?

"There, on top of the pile of paper next to you." I pointed.

He stopped and looked to his right to see nothing. Then, to his left where he saw the big stack of papers. He looked up and finally secured the tape. He then tossed it to me and thanked me. I nodded my head and he walked past me, leading me back to the same area. While walking back i seen a room i didn't notice on the way to Dernors office. It was a room filled with a visual on every galaxy. They all looked worned out, like they were dying. Some were being covered with a black force by the minute. It was going very slow but it was like they were disappearing. I looked for Earth in my galaxy as fast as i could and luckily, it was quite far from the other disappearing planets. Which meant i had time to save everyone. I walked out and caught up to Terence just in tine to hear him speak.

"Everyone listen up!" Terence called out, "This is Olivia Stammer, she's the one who can fix this. I need everyone except the main four working on the time capsule, to return back to their regular spots. Is that clear? Now move out!" He demanded.

I knew he wasn't smart enough to work here. He's the boss of this place, sick. Everyone moved out in a matter of seconds which left just us six. Those four workers and Terence and I.

"You see those four over there? They're going to assist you if you need help fixing it, okay?" He informed me.

I nodded and walked over to hand them the tape.

"Here you go. There's a leak of gas on the top right that's going everywhere, if you patch it up. It might slow down the crisis." I instructed.

"Oh my gosh thank you I didn't even notice!" the girl i was talking to replied. She took the tape and went to go cover the leak.

I took the chance to look at the build of it. It had quite a few wires, about 6 that looked broken. Seven in total. One was a green wire that was bent back and looked out of shape. I took a mental note on that. The second one was a silver one that seemed like it was deteriorating. Another note and lastly, there were four wires that were just tangled together. I stood up and moved out of the girl's way when she came back.

"I'm Carson by the way." She told me, looking back at me while smiling, "And this guy next to me is Collin. He's my brother. And the girl working on the table over there is Una, best friend. The one over by the clock is Frank, Una's lover." She introduces all of the workers whose names i now know. They all waved to me and i did the kind thing and waved back.

There was a knock at the door and we all looked to see Terence standing there.

"Okay well that was great but she has to go make a plan to save the multiverse so lets go, Olivia!" He says, kind of in a rush to get out of there.

"Okay." i shrugged, waving bye to everyone as i went to go behind Dernor.

Collin stared deeply at Terence like he wanted to kill him or something. Carson pulled him away and thanked Terence for introducing me to them. He just nodded and made us leave.
