Terence and Nat drove us to Arlos house which is literally down the street but I'd rather drive than walk. The drive was quiet, and awkward. Except for when Arlo gave Terence directions. Everyone was just taking in what had happened this past week. We all had our different adventures, I'll say. We got to Arlos house fairly quickly and we both hopped out in a snap.

There were no cars in his driveway, indicating that his parents were not home. Sounds familiar. He sighed and sat at the doorstep.

"Don't have my key." He pouts.

"That's fine, I'd rather stay out here and talk to you." I smiled, sitting next to him.

"You know, Terence and I were talking and he was explaining what loving someone feels like." I started. I was going to tell him that I loved him.

"Uh huh"

"And he told me that loving someone means you're always there for them. And that you'd still come back to them even after your fights because you know that you can be without each other. You'd need them with you no matter how bad the situation gets because you needed each other." I continued, " And now that I think about it, I love you."

"Wait, that's what loving someone means?" Arlo spoke, confused.

I just gave him a 'really' look.

"No no, i'm not being dumb but if that's what loving someone is, then I love you too. Like, a lot." He defends

I smile and wrap him in a big hug. We stayed like that for a minute until he pulled away.

"Forever?" He asked, poking his pinky out.

"Forever, Arlo Reed." We locked pinkies and made a promise that from there on out we had each other. Forever.

We looked at the car to see Terence and Nat sharing a kiss with one another.

"I always thought they were cute together." I spoke.

"I did too!" Arlo laughed.

I took the job offer to work at UCCSO and I don't regret it. I get to share my ideas on how to improve the systems and how to fix broken gadgets. Taking on this journey has helped me see many things in different perspectives. For instance your actions always have consequences, never judge a book by its cover, always trust your gut, never give up, but most importantly, you are enough. Don't doubt yourself and think you're not good enough. You clearly have a purpose in life or you wouldn't be here. You have it in you, express yourself . Don't give up because one thing didn't work out, or other people don't like it, there are so many things worth fighting for no matter how big the enemy is. Family, Friends, Lovers, you matter to them and they matter to you. Your gift can bring millions of people together. So, Embrace it!
