"Hey! Sorry to interrupt but the capsule is breaking even more and we can't hold it much longer. Do you think you can hurry? Thanks!" Una said l, panting as she hurried back to hold off the capsule from exploding.
Without speaking, i run to the cabinet to try one last time. I threw it onto my table as it appeared looking worse than ever. I try to think of a smart way to fix it but nothing came to mind. I had that same feeling i did when the test ones failed. Then i realized what Terence had said, 'Stop thinking about the past fails. Think about the future succsesses. The victories you can have if you just believe in yourself. I know you can do it. Now you should too. Make it happen. Be a hero'.
'Be a hero' stayed in my mind since he said that. It gave me motivation and actual hope that i can do this. I believe i can do this.
"What if we just replace all the wires with brand new ones?" I ask Terence, trying to think inside the box now.
"Wha- That's brilliant! How has no one ever thought about that!" He marveled.
I nodded and used the plan to fix the holographic capsule one last time. When i finished replacing the wires. Nothing happened. It just went back to normal.
"It worked!" Terence cheered.
"It worked? Oh my gosh it actually worked! I can't believe it! I made it work!" I rejoiced, laughing.
I did it. My plan worked. I can save the world.
Terence grabbed the required wires, "Lets go!" He grabbed my hand pulling me out the office.
"What about the leaking gas?" I question.
"It will close once we fix the capsule now come one were running out of time!" He called.
Terence and I made it to the main room where the capsule had stayed. The four workers that i had just met earlier walked up to us.
"Any plans?" Carson asked.
"Yeah, actually, there is." Terence replied.
He walked to a table and we all followed.
"Were going to use these wires and were going to replace them. We have to do it at the same time because if we don't, well you get the jist." He instructs.
We all nod and head back to the capsule. Everyone headed to a wire and held onto it. Frank the green, Una the silver, Collin the black, Carson the yellow, me the purple and Terence had the blue. Then, they all opened their watch to the evaporation button. We were all ready to press the button when another mishap happened. There were seven wires and six people.
"What about the orange wire?!" I yell. The blaring sounds and the gas leakage made it to loud for me to just talk.
"What?!" Terence questioned.
"There are only six of us! How are we going to replace the last one?! Were out of hands!" I informed him.
"I knew she couldnt do it!" Collin shouted, while getting a slap to the shoulder by Carson.
He was right. Another half working plan i had failed.
"We can make this work, okay? How about you take the blue and orange one? And ill take the purple." Terence instructed.
"How can i do both? I only have one han-"
"Stop doubting. I need you to believe, Olivia. You can do this." He encouraged.
I nodded and we switched spots, him holding the old purple and putting the new one on his watch. Me holding both orange and blue together seprately and placing the new ones on his watch as well.
"Hey guys!!? Can we hurry this up? The black hole is coming!" Frank warned, looking behind us.
We turned around and seen black surrounding the office. The hallways were disappearing, the gadgets, the people.
"We need to do this. Now." I demanded.
Terence nodded, "Everybody ready?!" He yelled.
"Ready!"
"Three!"
"Two!
"One"
"NOW!" i instructed.
Everyone pressed the button and the whole place went dark. It stayed like that for a few seconds. You could bareley even make out a person's figure.
"Everyone okay?" Terence called out.
"Think so." Frank replied
"Yeah."
"Did it work?"
"How crazy.." Collin groaned.
"You alright, Olivia?" He muttered, talking in my direction.
"I'm okay." I spoke, "I just hope this works."
After I said that, the capsule started to turn on again and the lights came on. Everyone groaned at the slight lack of lighting they loss.
"You did it, Olivia! You just saved the galaxy!" Dernor said giving me a huge hug, "I'm so proud of you."
"Thanks." I said, smiling into the hug.
Everyone joined in and we shared a succsessful victory hug.
