"I can't believe you and Malfoy...got married," Ron announced in disbelief. "I was starting to think you'd end up with George." He shrugged.
"What is it with you Weasleys playing matchmaker?" I asked mildly annoyed. Ron furrowed his brows curiously at my question signaling that he had no idea what I was talking about. "Just yesterday, Ginny tried to set me up with your dragon-obsessed, freckled brother, Charlie, and last week it was the weird one, Percy."
Giggles emitted from the mouths of the trio when I expressed my descriptions of Ron's siblings. It wasn't that I didn't find any of them attractive, because I did, but I'm committed to Draco.
"I just thought it would be George since I saw the two of you snogging during the wedding." He shrugged.
Hermione gasped loudly, and Harry spit out the water he just sipped.
"We were not!" I defended myself with urgency. Now, if that doesn't make me look guilty. Maybe I should explain what happened.
"I was dancing with Charlie when George cut in. We slow danced for a moment then began talking. He complimented my appearance, and told me that he always thought I was pretty, and leaned and kissed me before I could object." I explained. The trio looked at me with vague expressions on their faces. "That's when the attack happened."
"At least now we understand why you lied to us, but how can we be so sure we can trust you?" Hermione inquired. I knew earning their trust would be extremely difficult. They could easily throw me out on my own and leave me to deal with my own issues, but they didn't.
They knew that if I were gone, then their chances of survival decreased. I think mentioning Voldemort's name and breaking the taboo was a good thing. Then Theo wouldn't have warned me, and I wouldn't have proven to them that I'm on their side.
"Because I never wanted to attack my brother, but he was going to hurt you." I shrugged. "He was going to hurt all of us, and I like to believe that if I weren't with you guys, he would have called you-know-who himself to the café. I don't want to sound conceited, but you guys need me."
Hermione expressed a prolonged sign and offered a weak smile. "I agree, but this still doesn't explain why you were ordered to make Harry fall in love with you."
"It was to throw Harry off. To distract him from everything."
"It doesn't matter," Harry chimed in breaking his subtle silence. "Laurel's here now, and she can help us." He pulled Salazar Slytherins locket out of Hermione's bag and opened it. "We need to find the real locket, and fast."

It felt like ages have passed since the wedding when in reality, it was just shy of a month. So many things have happened since Voldemort took over the Ministry, but there was nothing we could do besides sit and hide. So we did. We still hadn't found the locket either, which we probably wouldn't by sitting on our asses while cooped up in this place.
We need to take the risk and get out there and explore.
All wizards that are pureblood or half-blood were required to return to Hogwarts, while muggle-borns were to report to the Ministry and undergo interrogation as to how they stole their powers from "real" wizards.
I think the entire system is fucked up if you ask me. If a muggle is capable of stealing magic from a wizard, then aren't they just as much of a force to be reckoned with?
Take Hermione for example. She's one of the brightest witches our time has known. If I had to guess, she probably possesses far more achieving qualities than we actually know about.
