I had just gotten out of the hospital.
The guy changed my name and everything. Changed my hair, and everything. I decided to keep my first name, but my last name was now Kim.
As I walked down the street, I noticed a stack of newspapers. One in particular caught my eye, so I picked it up.
"Y/N Y/L/N, Missing—Case Still Open."
What the...?
Why are they still looking for me?
Scrunching up the paper, I threw it in the bin and stared at it.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw someone watching me. I turned around quickly and pulled my hoodie up.
As I walked away, I heard footsteps behind me.
“Miss?”
I ignored him.
“MISS!”
He shouted and ran to catch up. Once he did, he grabbed my shoulder.
“You’re a fast walker, haha!” he puffed out, trying to catch his breath.
I didn’t turn around. He moved in front of me and pulled down my hoodie.
“Oh—sorry! I thought you were someone else. My bad,” he apologized.
I looked up, revealing my face. His eyes widened, and he gasped.
“Oh, it’s alright!” I replied casually, though my heart was racing.
I knew exactly who he was. Jun-Ho.
“Uh, you don’t mind me asking, but...is your name Y/N Y/L/N?”
I stayed quiet for a second.
“No! Uh, I actually have the same first name, but my last name’s Kim.”
He let out a big sigh, his shoulders slumping.
“Sorry, you just really look like her.” he said, sounding a little too enthusiastic.
“Uh yeah, I need to go now. Sorry,” I muttered, waving him off and walking away.
“Yeah! Bye!” he called after me.
I kept walking, feeling his stare still on me.
“That was close,” I mumbled.

Ahh…Y/N.
You really thought you could fool me?
I started following her—from a safe distance, of course.
I’d been looking for her ever since the games ended. Everyone had gone their separate ways, but I? I had to find her. Confirm her death—so I could sleep at night peacfully.
Now she’d changed her name and appearance?
What exactly are you up to, Y/N?
Are you…meeting someone?
A boyfriend?
A girlfriend?
No.
She can’t be.
