《Y/n’s POV》

Jun-ho and I were sitting in a beautiful restaurant. The space was elegant—deep reds accented with white, the lighting soft and warm. “This place is stunning,” I said in awe.

Jun-ho smiled, watching me with soft eyes. “It really is. But you make it look even better.”

I blushed lightly and turned back to my menu. A waiter approached, dressed in a crisp tuxedo that hugged his figure. “Good evening. Ready to order?” he asked politely.

“Yes!” I grinned, quickly scanning the menu one more time. “Can I get a salad, chips, and a beef burger, please?”

Jun-ho placed his order as well, and once the waiter walked off, I felt his gaze linger on me.

“You really light up when you're excited about food,” he teased.

I laughed. “What can I say? I don’t play when it comes to burgers.”

When the food arrived, I practically dove into my meal. “You’re not even gonna breathe between bites, are you?” he said, laughing.

“I haven’t eaten all day—besides the Sushi.” I mumbled with a mouthful, earning another amused chuckle from him.

We chatted through dinner, mostly about random things—his work, places we wanted to travel.

After we finished eating, Jun-ho insisted on paying. I tried to argue, but he just shook his head. “Let me take care of it.”

We walked out into the cool night air, the city lights glowing all around us. The breeze was crisp, almost comforting.

     Crash!

The sound of shattering glass echoed from a nearby alley. I paused and looked down the dark path but couldn’t see anything.

“Hey,” I told Jun-ho, “go ahead without me. I need to fix my shoelace real quick.”

     “You sure?” he asked, concerned.

     “Yeah, I’ll catch up.”

He nodded reluctantly and walked off. Once he turned the corner, I stepped into the alleyway, pulling out my phone and turning on the flashlight.

“Creepy…” I whispered, hugging my arms for warmth.

There was nothing. Just broken glass and shadows. I turned to head back, but when I reached the main street—no sign of Jun-ho.

“Jun-ho?” I called, walking faster, a strange unease rising in my chest.

I doubled back to the restaurant, hoping he was still inside. But when I stepped through the doors, I stopped cold.

     It was completely empty.

No staff. No customers. No Jun-ho.

     Panic crawled up my spine.

Suddenly, the waiter popped out of nowhere. “Sorry! We closed up and forgot to lock the door.”
