Chapter 15: The Morning After

The Morning After

A warm presence was surrounding me. It felt...so nice. I had never felt such warmth. I sighed and flipped over. I blinked open my eyes and came face to face with Natsu. My eyes widened and I barely stopped myself from kicking him.

I stared at his relaxed face and my heart gave an almost painful throb in my chest. I furrowed my brows in confusion.

What the hell was happing to me?

My hand seemed to rise on its own. It was like I wasn't in control of my movements. I gently brought my hand up and moved my fingers down his warm cheek. He looked so much better now.

His fever was long gone and he looked so peaceful. I smiled softly at him and sat up. As I made my way to the closet to get my clothes Natsu flipped around.

I heard him let out a small sigh but he continued to sleep. I shook my head at his still form with a smile on my face. What I am going to do with you?

I headed into the bathroom and shut the door behind me. I put my clothes on the floor near the door and turned on the bath. As I watched the water fill up the tub I closed my eyes.

I brought my hand to my side and lifted up my shirt. I hissed when I saw the stitched up wound. It was red and nasty looking.

I would have to see Wendy soon.

I gently lifted my shirt over my head and removed all my other clothing. I ran my fingers through my hair as I reached over to shut off the water.

As I was lowering myself in the water when I realized something.

When had I began to rely on other people to help me?
