Spider

"Levy!" Gajeel yelled so loudly that the cave seemed to shake with the force of his voice. He began to stalk forward, then stopped, turned, and to my surprise, gently picked up Levy's bandana.

As I stared up at him all I could think was, Gajeel was being gently with something. I had never seen him be gently with anything.
Without looking back at us he took off. "Natsu, can you smell her?" I was afraid of the answer. Natsu nodded, "Yes."

"What else can you smell?"

"...Blood..." I sucked in a sharp breath. I knew I wasn't going to like the answer. With a growl I stood up and began to follow Gajeel.

Natsu followed behind me. The Fire Mage lit the way and I assumed that Gajeel was following his nose. Hold on, Levy. We're coming...Gajeel's coming.

We had been walking for some time, in complete silence. I could practically feel the waves of dark energy coming off of Gajeel. It was okay though, since I bet he could feel my own anger.

Gajeel's back was straight and his muscles were coiled tight. Up ahead an inhuman screech rose up. All three of us froze and with a silent nod to one another, we began to stalk forward.

We stuck our heads out to survey our surrounds. The little cave opened up into a big cavern. But what really caught my attention was what was on the walls.

Spider webs...and Levy...

Gajeel's eyes widened when our eyes landed on Levy. She was hanging on a rocky wall about twenty or so feet off the ground. She was entangled in white web. She was bleeding heavily from a scrape on her cheek and her orange dress was torn.

Gajeel lost it.

He ran forward and began looking for a way to climb up and get her down. With a glance around the place, Natsu and I rushed to Gajeel's side.

"How the hell are we going to get her down?" Gajeel growled out as he paced back and forth. Natsu studied the webbing. "Gajeel, get me up there." Gajeel looked at Natsu.

"Time to get fired up." He said with a serous face. "You're going to burn the webs?" Gajeel looked at Natsu like he was crazy. "Ya can't do that, baka! Ya might burn her!"

"What the hell do you want to do then?" Natsu shot back.

Gajeel turned his arm into iron and his arm turned into a whirling jagged steel blade. Natsu glanced at Gajeel's arm.

"I like my idea better."

"Like I care!"

"Boys."

"You better care!"

"You want to start, Salamander?"

"Boys..."

"I already started it!"

"BOYS!" I shouted down at them.

They looked up and their jaws dropped. While they had been auguring, I had climbed the rock wall, and was beside the unconscious Levy.
I had already drawn one of my daggers and I had started to cut the sticky white web away from her. "Gajeel! Catch her!" I warned him right when I cut the last piece of webbing.

Levy fell.

Gajeel opened his arms and was about to catch her when something large and brown caught her instead. The thing, with Levy in it's jaws, flew to another wall, and hung there.

My eyes narrowed and a shot of disgust went through me. Because hanging on the wall, with Levy in it's pinchers, was a big ass, brown spider.

I hate spiders...
